Ollie

"Ollie" was an Sea Serpent that terrorized the shores of Newport in the fall of 2024. He is an oillipheist, a type of celtic sea serpent related to "Nessie" and other aquatic draconic creatures.

History

Sea Serpents are long lived creatures, as they are aquatic cousins of dragons, though viewed as more dimwitted and animalistic. Ollie had dwelled in the coasts of central Oregon for more than 200 years. In 1780, the pirate Norman Whyte had stolen an amulet that would summon the oillipheist. Ollie proceeded to attack his ship and destroy it. Norman Whyte fled his ship with his treasure, realizing the amulet was cursed, and changed his ways. The amulet was buried along with his loot. Before he died, Norman told his son the location of the treasure.   More than 200 years later, in the fall of 2024, Carolina White, the descendant of Norman, kidnapped her father in order to find the location of the amulet. The Emerald-Man attempted to stop her, but she overcame the druid. She then summoned Ollie, and approached the Oregon Coast. She threatened to use Ollie as a destructive device to terrorize the coast, or declare her their ruler and queen.   Emerald-Man went to confront the two. The Merrow, Carolina, fed Emerald-Man to Ollie, but not before he grabbed her cap. Losing control of the serpent, Carolina would be swallowed by the sea serpent as well. Emerald-Man punctured the stomach of the creature to force it to vomit. Carolina, learning some humility, sided with Emerald-Man to stop the creature. Instead of slaying it, however, the Merrow put Ollie to sleep. Afterwards, she took Ollie further out to sea, to sustain his hunger with other fauna, choosing to eat creatures like giant squid and whales to sate it's appetite.
