Gudrik and Moldolf The Warring Brothers

"We don't have to do this Gudrik! Once our weapons clash we will both lose ourselves to the storm within us!" "No puny storm lies within me Moldolf! Not any more. Don't hesitate brother. I want to kill you at your strongest!!""

Brothers of the Wolf, Brothers at War

Gudrik and Moldolf were Iceborn brothers both born to the Wolf clan in Aasveig. Growing up they both were barely of age and eager to join their clan when the Hunt of the Wolves began. Both brothers earned blessings from Isael during the war and were known as "The Twin Fangs" because of their ferocity in the battlefield and the great rages each could muster within themselves. That is until the Wrath of the Bear begin after the Wolf Clan ran themselves thin logistically and physically and Sigemar took control of the Bear Clan. As both suffered the mental strain of loss after loss they began to question their faith. Finally when Sigemar began pushing into Wolf territory during the final days of the war both heard news that their home village had been slaughtered in a conflict. Both left their post to get their revenge as they single handedly slew the warriors of a village of the Bear. As Moldolf stopped his rage realizing that all that was left were children and elderly he looked on in horror as Gudrik's fury was not ending, instead it was growing stronger as he began slaughtering anyone he could fit his axe through. After attempting to snap his brother out of his fury and failing Moldolf began to duel his very borther in an attempt to protect the few remaining elderly and children left. Both were equal in strength as Moldolf's lightening surged stronger at the final moment as he knocked Gudrik unconcious. After Gudrik woke up and Moldolf informed him what happened Gudrik apologized, but told Moldolf that he planned to keep attacking more villages and together as The Twin Fangs they could turn the tide of this war back in the Wolf's favor. Moldolf fearing what might happen if they were gone from their post too long reminded his brother that they were honor bound to return to their post and await orders from their chieftan. As the two began to argue it diffused to screaming as both decided they would go their seperate ways as deep in his heart Moldolf knew what was happening to his brother, but he could not bring himself to kill him as he told himself that Gudrik would come to his senses and return to the village in a couple of days. Gudrik did not.

The Herald of Carnage

Moldolf did not hear or see his brother for many years as a time of peace began with the war over. Over time the blessings of Isael within him dulled as he found his own family and lived a life of peace his borther fading from his mind. That is until whispers and rumors of villages of all the different clans being set to fire over night. One day in front of his village a great barbarian horde showed itself as Gudrik called to Moldolf from beyond its walls. The two brothers sat across from each other for the first time in many years as they shared ale and after a long silence began to talk. Gudrik was not the same man he was before, he had grown several feet and dark red veins were apparent all across his body. Gudrik would not give into a follower of Ó-friðr even if it was his brother as he prepared his village for war and ignited the spark within him. When ten days and ten nights had passed the two armies met each other as a blizzard began to descend upon each other with Gudrik and Moldolf at the head of each force. Gudrik seeing his brother stand against him smiled and laughed as the two exchanged final words as brothers before they exchanged blows for their gods. The fight between the two forces lasted 5 minutes while the duel between the two brothers did not last even one. As Gudrik who had done nothing, but fight for all the last years held a clear advantage over his brother and was sure to use it as he struck him down with an axe through the heart.

The Storm Reborn

After Moldolf died he found himself suddenly drowning as great waves began to engulf him. As he somehow found his way onto a shore he realized that he had failed yet still was in Isathra, the resting place of heroes and champions of Isael. At first he was elated and then realizing what he had left his fellow warriors to deal with steeled his heart as he began climbing the highest mountain he could see. Hoping the legends were true and that throught there he could earn an audiance with Isael he began her trials. After three months of fighting and climbing he finally reached the peak as he screamed against the storm swearing an oath of vengeance against his brother and begging for a chance to restore his honor and protect his people. The storm listened and acted as a great bolt of lightning struck him in the chest as he fell from the mountain and awoke in the forests of Iotura as he was reobrn. From there old spirits guided him to his brother as he killed a Xael follower that had an invitation to something called the Red Holdiay somewhere would his brother would be waiting for him.
