Shadeleaf

Shadeleaf is a magical plant that grows in dry, arid environments. It appears as a sort of desert shrub with short and thick waxy leaves and woody flexible branches.

The plant is notoriously annoying to find, having a natural ability to change color to match its surroundings near perfectly. Animals sometimes take explicit advantage of this to have a concealed location to stalk their victims from, which can make harvesting the plant dangerous.

The leaves of shadeleaf contain an oil which has many uses, but the best known one is pattern concealment. Shadeleaf can be used for a variety of weaves to produce effects that obfuscate or hide things, enabling people to conceal magical items or powers and hide themselves from shroudsense and vision alike.
