Ashqyavasi
The Ashqavasi hail only from the grand empire of Kyawas, at the heart of the Akzoriel continent. The empires citizen have a near fanatical devotion to their empire and strong national identity. Other peoples from outside Kyawas hate the Ashqyavasi, seeing them as tyrannical imperialists, given their penchant for warmongering and conquest.
Ashqyavasi people are required to be Taosri followers and believe they are in a cycle of reincarnations. They see their current life as a link in a chain taking them to immortality. Through piety, devotion, and personal strength they will climb that chain towards becoming an immortal like the Kyate'i they worship. Kyawas has instituted a strict social caste system, the Devjat.
In recent years, Kyawas has become one of the first countries in Akzoriel to industrialize and incorporate modern weaving and technology in a widespread fashion. Politics with nearby countries of Vahan and Mbran have grown tense and border skirmishes have started up again after the Unification War was won with relative ease using the modern engineering. Geshal has since stopped providing airships and weavers to Kyawas and begun to arm Vahan, ramping up tensions further.
Species
Kyawas is made up primarily of Estra, Jull, and Mujab. There are several Azar communities, especially as one goes deeper into the mountains. Vecora are usually immigrants or descend immigrants from Geshal or Kjist but have more than a small presence. Few T'ha stay in Kyawas given how poorly it treats the nomadic tribes of the Wildlands. the few T'ha in Kyawas are reticent merchants from Iozan or T'chun and only found near the border. Nath are present in significant numbers, but are concentrated in the hard to reach parts of the Rashad.
