Roemis' Rebellion
Revolution
Roemis Therul attempts to lead a popular revolt against Empress Narrena Cahri’s tyrannical rule. The rebels are defeated and Roemis is executed.
After Narrena Cahri seized power and made the Atlantean Empire, Roemis Therul was her most outspoken critic. After being imprisoned and tortured several times, he was exiled. Roemis began to rally support against the Empress eventually gaining a sizeable following. In 1A 8970, his supporters took to the streets as a mob, while Roemis and a few others infiltrated the palace to kill Narrena.
Narrena defeated the insurgents, capturing Roemis and killing the others. She dragged him into the plaza in front of the palace, before the mob and executed him with the Atlantean Steel sword he had made for her. She then offered amnesty to all who left now and went home. After she made her offer, Elys appeared in the square and declared Roemis a god. In honor of the now martyred Roemis, the rebels attacked Narrena. Narrena and her guards killed or captured most of them, routing the rest.
