Session 6 Report

Resuming the conflict at the Courageous Estate, the party is locked in battle with the estate guards. Cedric revives Toga, getting him back on his feet and covering him as he moves to a better position. The guards also repositioned, moving to attack Daeran. With little space to dodge near the doorway, Daeran was struck and knocked unconscious. With a warm heal from Brilliance, he was pulled back from the void. Cedric slid the Courageous Amulet across the floor to Tommy. Tommy took up the pin, placing it on his shirt. Its glowing deemed him a Courageous to his and Bartholomeow's surprise. Noting Bartholomeow's shock, Tommy nodded to Taylor as they put forth their final maneuver against him. They struck at his heart in a flourish of slashes and slices, both impaling and killing him. Tommy yelled victoriously. In response, one of the guard captains moved to strike him down, foolishly turning his back to Cedric and Toga. In a combined attack, they sliced him in half and continued toward the last guard captain by Daeran. While the party methodically dispatched the rest of the guards, Toga took the Feenstein into his hand, bringing forth wild magic targeted at the final guard. From the crystal, Toga summoned a Gravity Sinkhole. The sinkhole enveloped Daeran, Toga, Marilka, Brilliance and the guard, dealing significant damage to all and plunging them into the cavern below. As the guard fell to his death, the rest of the party was quickly saved by Cedric throwing a potion causing them to become slightly denser than air.

With Victor already prepping the boat for departure, and Cedric not far behind due to his speed, the crew departed through the opening in the cavern, finding the navy on the horizon. They fucked up. Two closer ships hounded The White Hawk with their mangonels. Not fully staffed, The White Hawk had little capabilities to fight back. After a depressing exchange between the White Hawk and the Navy Captains of Veltia, a strange force lifted the ship out of the water. The party witnessed the arrival and seeming resurrection of Andy Edward Mason. In his empowered and somewhat confused form, he inquired about Bartholomeow. Hearing the details of his death via the crew and navy, Andy flung The White Hawk a days travel away from Veltia, out of reach of any navy ships.

Free of their bombardment, they initiated ship repairs and investigated some of the strange artifacts they acquired. They also found a small child, Ronnie Heart stashed away in a barrel onboard. After a small debate, they decided to let him stay aboard until they can figure out what else to do with him. Cedric cast Identify on the small chest they got from the captains office of the Golden Sparrow and a small warforged sprung to life, inviting the party to the Wild Magic Tables Casino, the "greatest place in Elysia!" Accompanied by a vision of them heading that way from Marilka, the party decided to chart their course for the Casino to find greater fortunes.
