Poker

The poker tables are located on the first floor. You enter a dimly lit room with a crimson carpet floor. Mahogany walls are separated by square pillars, four in the center divide the room into nine sections. The front six sections contain fancy poker tables, each complete with their iconic pine green felt surfaces and designs. The far sections of the room have two more tables on either end of a colorful martini bar. Overhead are orange hanging lamps projecting soft circular lights onto the tables and their players. The tables are occupied by various characters. Some wear tuxedos and suits, others wool shirts and other common attire. The dealers are Magidrones, dressed in white collared shirts paired with shimmering golden vests and bowties adorned with floral patterns. At the martini bar is a similarly dressed Magidrone, but with an indigo vest and bowtie. (Successful perception check.) One of the dealers at an empty table in the back right corner has a different outfit. He wears a light blue collared shirt and has a tanned leather vest, with wool a inner lining peeking out from behind a folded edge. Draped over his shoulder is a chocolate brown cloak that conceals the left half of his body. A metal buckle holds a belt around his waist. A brown gambler hat sits atop his head, drowning his eyes in shadows. His mechanical eyes peer at you, shining like a cat's in the dark.

As you approach a table, sometimes having to move through a crowd surrounding one, you are able to take a seat and appreciating the red leather upholstery. The dealer states the buy-in, which ranges anywhere from 10 to 10,000 chips. Then play begins.

Katya Gatnom appears at the poker tables, carefully peeking at her cards before peering at the faces around the table for tells. She seems to be winning. (If the party has met her in the Book Club.) She meets your gaze and smiles before straightening her shirt cuffs in an exaggerated fashion, seemingly for you to see.

Luck > 70:

This room works by having the players play against NPCs in the casino. The DM will play three hands, which the players can win certain amounts of. The DM rolls 2 d100, multiplying the number by the table's buy in, and using those values as two of the hands' funds. Then the player's luck stat will also be multiplied by the buy in and used as the third hand's funds. The players will be able to win 25% of the highest pot, 50% of the second highest pot and 75% of the lowest pot. Then play will begin as Texas Hold 'Em normally goes.

Alternate rules, the players will all be given a hand of cards along with the DM. One of them will represent the party and the rest will represent NPCs. When play begins, the DM will roll a d6 to determine who represents the party. Players will not know until the game is over who was chosen and will play against each other to win as though they represented the party.
