Arcade

The Arcade is on the fourth floor of the Casino. It is a dark room that glows under blacklights. Murals drawn in fluorescent chalk cover the walls, making them glow and add consistent lighting to the many flashing pinball machines scattered around the room. People, some children, stand around the room playing claw machines with mage hand and air hockey with pucks under the levitate spell. The pinball machines sound off, blending together into miscellaneous white noise in the background. A boy with a blue and yellow striped shirt and propeller hat stands in front of five different Ski ball machines, moving between each one and seemingly hitting the high score on all of them. Each time he throws the ball, it rolls down the runway and up the ramp with such grace it elicits a gasp from those watching as it bounds into the highest point hole in the top right. It prints out a bunch of tickets that he stuffs into his pocket before running over to a whack-a-mole machine where a teenager plays. The teenager wears a graphic t-shirt with the words Red Dusk printed in Metallica font. As the moles pop up, he expertly hammers them with a speed that makes you assume he knows the pattern. (An insight roll reveals he does not and is just the goat.) After a minute of whacking the moles, he pauses and watches one pop up from the grass, staring at the mole almost longingly. He is brought back to his senses as the Ski ball kid tugs at his shirt, going from a total standstill to almost instantly hammering that last mole. He turns and smiles at the kid, leaning down and placing his hands on his knees. "Whatcha got bud," he asks. The child shoves his hands into his pockets and pulls out all the tickets. "Oh shoot, nice job Ryan! Did you beat my high score as well?" The child gives a big toothy grin and nods furiously, shoving the tickets into his brother's hands and then signing in common sign language, "Yes, I beat you." The older one nods. "Alright, you beat me fair and square. Here ya go." The older one reaches into his back pocket and hands the younger one 20 chips. "Go get yourself something sugary at the Cafe. Don't overdo it though." The child, Ryan, runs off, presumably to Magidrinks and Eats to get some kind of sweet treat. His older brother walks over to pinball machine about golf and stares at the grass and water of the course. He sighs and puts in four tokens to begin playing.

This room contains a bunch of people playing games, the observable best of which are two brothers named Ryan and Cypress Hinterland. The party may interact with them to learn the history of the Garden Tour, which was requested and for a time even run by their mother, Juniper Hinterland. (With a DC 10 intelligence roll, Cedric would recognize a book on different plant species by her.) They may also ask them for help in the Darts tournament.
