Aldmerion Pantheon
The Aldmerion Pantheon are an old sect of gods that Felvers, Trestillians and some Mereese worship. They have as wide a reach of followers as the Monarch. All Northern cities owe their allegiance to a different god from the Pantheon. Many celebrations and rituals are observed when one worships a particular god. Some devoted followers may even begin to wield powers that mimic their chosen deity. The Aldmerion Pantheon contrasts with the Monarch; where the Monarch is unified in purpose, the Aldmerion Pantheon wars amongst itself. Where the Monarch seeks to purify demonic influence from the world, the Aldmerion Pantheon grants favor to demons, angels and everything in between depending on the deity. Where the Monarch is all good and all knowing, the Aldmerion Pantheon comes in shades of good and evil, and does not claim to know all.
The Monarch and the Aldmerion Pantheon are rarely if ever worshiped in tandem as they have vastly different creation stories and the Proxians who worship the Monarch prefer to conquer and assimilate rather than coexist as the worshipers of the Aldmerion Panthon have done amongst themselves.
Structure
The Pantheon consists of a family of gods operating independently. Though often in the lore, certain gods find themselves together as allies or against other gods. Mostly, the gods keep to themselves, preferring to spread their influence through their followers.
