Session 27, Into the Fae
General Summary
When last we left our heroes, they presented the tribute of silver to the Archfae, Syrandis. The piece of silver he chose as his prize was a small trinket that was actually created by Balran. Impressed with his craftsmanship, Syrandis came to speak with him and asked for his name. The group entreated with him, asking for a boon that will help Gorthak's people. After a brief conversation under the boughs of the great tree, a child burst from the portal claiming he and his family were in danger. The group realized that Syrandis must have known about this troupe of elves though he didn't say anything about them. Without hesitation though, the group burst into action to rush through the portal and aid the imperiled refugees. As they crossed the threshold into a new realm, an array of new scents and colors flooded their senses as they quickly realized a group of giant spiders had obsconded with the refugees. Through a harrowing fight between a fomorian, his pets, and our intrepid adventurers, they managed to skill the fomorian and save most of the refugees. After sending them on their way through the portal, Syrandis walked through to take them to the Summer Court.
Syrandis greatly enjoyed the work of Balran, taking a piece of silver that Balran made. Balran then accepted something from Syrandis as a token of friendship. Is there a connection there?
