Session 26, Erumalda
General Summary
Our intrepid adventurers braved the treacherous waters from Frarhir to the home of the high elves and Balran, Erumalda. On their journey they delt with pirates on the waters outside Bend Cove, and had a brush with a child of C'Chalak, a massive sea serpent that preys on vessels that travel the northern waters. The great beast began to chase their vessel while nearing the mists that surround Erum, the crew burst into action, releasing the massive oars at the bottom and opening all sails, the ship sped to the mists. As the ship narrowly escaped a confrontation with the sea monster, they made way through the inlet to the elvish stead of Erumalda.
It is well known that the sea serpent is repelled by the mists that surround the Isle of Erum, but not necessarily why.
Balran's Father, K'Thrin, owes a debt to the Fae lord Syrandis for allowing him to keep his knowledge of smithing during the Crossing. However, he has fallen behind in his tribute of silver works. Dangerous indeed.
As the group disembarked their vessel they made their way into the village, meeting with the council and petitioning their help with Gorthak's problem. They mentioned that the Fae may have a solution, but it is dangerous indeed to enter into a bargain with them. The later went to meet with Balran's family and as they were leaving, Shangri learned of a new family member that called Erumalda their home, Sylah Myrk, the head law keeper of the stead. After brief reunions between family, the group learned of K'thrin's predicament and stepped in to help. He was behind in his tribute of silver works to Syrandis.
After a restless night of work in the forge, the group was able to help K'thrin complete 280 of his 300 works required by this point in the year. We pick up now as the group approaches the portal underneath the massive tree, the circle of mushrooms glowing faintly and a three columns of stone spiraling up and curving to meet in the center. Three of the Sylknights standing guard, and a tall 10 or so foot elvish appearing creature emerges from the portal in resplendent golden armor, Syrandis.
