The Great Immigration
Around 500 MoU, an enormous surge of magic opened every gate of Elthis Prime. This was a glorious time as people from a land called Thalgriel came in droves, as many of these people were terrified of some divine pillars that emerged in their world. These immigrants brought new ideas and arts, and artificer guilds would soon flourish in Olkchester. As every gate on Elthis Prime opened, it also allowed less savory types to arrive in the world, but fortunately, the blood hunters from Thalgriel would prove their worth to the people by bringing many of them down. The gate would close by the end of the year, and intellectuals believe that anywhere from 300 to 500 thousand people have immigrated to the world, though other less credible scholars believe the number was far lower.
When the northern gate opened, it brought forth warmth in the cold northern lands, and as a result, it caused flooding in coastal areas. The coastal city of the world's Northern peak, formed by impressive magic, was abandoned once the gates closed and the warm radiance of their world stopped flooding through the gate. While many accepted these exotic folk, the wood elves would suffer for their arrival as forests were cut down and hunting sharply increased within the lands they call their own.
