History of Eltharia

The Founding of the Claiston Empire begins the official recording of years with the founding of the (Historic Council). History from before the founding of this council should be considered less in terms of years, and more founded by major events.   The Empire Falls into ruin in the year 357 due to the rise and subsequent fall of the death of the last of the Claiston Imperial heir.

After the fall of the Empire, the people of Eltharia found themselves organized by region and culture. From this downfall n provincial unity came the forging of the kingdoms of the common era. Wars were fought, territory lost, conquered, and lost again, until the world as we know it in the common era was forged in both ink and blood.

In 1176, the Council of Eltharia was formed within the central island nation of the eastern continent. After centuries of cyclical warfare, representatives of the most influential and powerful kingdoms came together in an effort to solidify their claims, and put an end to widespread bloodshed. Thus, the Council was born, ushering in the current, common era.
