27 Erathisway 4520 - A Fight and Preparations are made.

In the morning, we gather in the great hall after some morning walking. A bunch of folk are here, congregating for some form of breakfast. Not a lot of the Mirellions are here at present, except fro Aleesia Dawnseeker . A simple breakfast is had from some of the leftovers from last night, bolstered by the Kaelin Thatch garden. As Holly Branchwind hands me a plate of food, I notice that Isadora Giordano is coming out of her door. I also hear a horn sound from outside, like a warning or an alert. A number of us quickly head to the door to see what this is all about. Luna of Mirellion and Kaelin Thatch are here, trying to get back in the door. Antonio of Mirellion is ahead of us, readying himself for a fight. It was he who blew the horn of alarm. Above us are two griffons, one large and one monstrous. They have the same frost-like look about them to ones that we have previously fought. I yell out to Antonio of Mirellion to get to cover as we prepare ourselves for battle.

Isadora Giordano casts fly on both Dharra Boulderfoot and I and we enter into battle. We, or mostly I, dispatch these two griffons and once back on the ground, investigate the corpses. They may have been a mating pair, and the frost griffon is definitely larger. They appear to a bit underfed and are possibly a bit far from home. During the rest of the morning, I spend some time with Antonio of Mirellion , Devlin Helmbreaker and the other defenders and we scan the skies for further threats. Dharra Boulderfoot spends some time with Kezahr and Fafnir with the sleeping box. She casts a spell to see the process of making the box for Fafnir's family by Glade and Evariel.

Dharra's vision shows Glade and Evariel looking slightly older as they finish making the box. The next vision shows a younger pseudodragon being nestled in the box as well. The next vision, shows that pseudodragon a bit older, nudging at the mother as she is about to die. The surviving pseudodragon flies back to the box, and drops onto it. The room is dark and it looks like the pseudodragon has hunted and appears to be pregnant. The blanket in the box is well worn now. The room is empty and it lets out a plaintive cry. Fafnir's father appears and brings her something to eat. Then we see a tiny Fafnir sitting on the blanket in the box, with his parents sitting nearby. They are telling him what this place is and why they are here. After the vision, Fafnir tells Dharra in her head - 'Thanks'.

We finish up our various tasks during the morning, and then show Kezahr the room at the top of the tower. Isadora comes along as we do so. We open the door and she is somewhat taken aback by all that she sees. She heads straight for the bookcase to take in all the books. Taking down the second of the green leather volumes at the top, she opens it and then looks to Isadora, who says that it is quite the treasure trove. Kezahr is quite taken aback by all that she sees here. We lay out that what is here could aid us in the coming fight and that this room has amazing artefacts and treasures, but also comes with great responsibility. We task those that have access to this room to focus on: defences, magical and otherwise; golems and how to prepare, enhance and repair; and the history of The Cleansing Wave , Bruno Khurabil , Jack and The Vanguard. Kezahr and Isadora decide to stay in the room today and start the learning process. Isadora says that she may be able to help Kezahr with her future studies as well. I ask Isadora if maybe a visit to Mirellion might be useful for Kezahr and her studies as a way to further the connection between Belhaim and Duchy of Mirellion as well. She agrees that she may benefit from an environment of scholarly study as she sees her as having potential to become a powerful ally. We leave then in the room to continue their discovery.

The rest of our afternoon is spent checking in with the rest of the folks on the island. We check in with Thrain Stoneforge and Brom Coppervein and the works on the tower. They are progressing, albeit slowly - maybe some more workers could aid them. We check in with Devlin Helmbreaker , Krail & Durgash again. We then head back across the lake in the late afternoon, with Holly Branchwind , Zeph and Brom. Holly shows us the warehouse space she has rented at the docks. It is close to the East end of town, in an area of town that has started to be rebuilt. We name this space, LightWind Holdings. She has purchased a cart to aid in the transport goods back and forth. We ask Silas to check in with Cadenus to make sure we are ready to sail tomorrow. Brom will be coming with us as well. We then head over to the Tower to check in with Esward Moulton to make sure he and his retinue are ready to travel as well. His retinue will include Kugulex, Alby, Saldr, Eleanor, Alden Dewfoot & Esabel Chantry.

Holly purchases some goods from the market for our dinner tonight. After all that, we head back to the Chandlerveil for a quite night in. I have a chat with Blackstar and Fringey to give them a heads up about our trip tomorrow. They seem to be ok with it. Dharra casts a message to Hanirash, Inquisitor of Bahamut giving him a heads up on our travels. He replies that he encountered more undead on his travels. He will be back in Battervold soon though. We send a second message asking about the undead he has encountered. He replies that the undead he encountered were more just undead locals, not ancient like the ones we saw. They had bone claws, drawn skin and a sense of malice. Dharra then messages to Kezahr asking about the undead that Hanirash is encountering. She replies that they sound more like the ones we encountered in Confluence. We ask her to look out for signs of disturbed graves on the island. We send one last message to Hanirash to be on the lookout for a hooded figure. We urge him to stay safe as they are very dangerous. After all of that, we share a quiet meal at home with Holly, before heading to bed for a long rest.
