White Palace
The White Palace is the seat of the rulers of the Kingdom of Aldur. It is built from polished and whitened basalt stone and decorated with brass and gold. It is considered one of the Beacons of the World. It lies in the great city of Amor Daín.
Purpose / Function
The White Palace is the home of the royal family of Aldur and seat of its ruler. It was built to house the royal family and administration of the city of Amor Daín. It was also originally planned as a defensible fortress, when the city didn't yet possess it's defensive structures and walls.
Alterations
The palace has been expanded upon by several rulers and now encompasses an area three times the original. Several wings, gardens, meeting rooms and solitary chambers have been built for the various denizens of the great construct.
Architecture
The architecture is taken directly from the old palaces and keeps of Ethilien and modeled to suit the needs of a fortress. Archways, catwalks and grandeur stylisations of the battlements and the stone walls are its trademark.
History
The palace was originally constructed at the order of Daeron Isillien on 138 5e, when he began the expansion of the then small town of Amor Nuin. As said it was originally built to serve as a home for royalty, as well as a defensive strong-point.
