Ironclad Knights
The Ironclad are among the oldest warrior orders in the South and derive their name and ways from the original 70 knights of Maronius Draven.
Structure
The order is dedicated to bringing justice and punishment to any who spoil, insult, demean or harm the name of the King of Ethilien. The order currently comprises of 400 knights, with the young knight-aspirants serving the menial tasks and upkeep of the order. It is led by the respected and equally feared Master Ironhand.
Public Agenda
The orders agenda is to act as the kings military constables and judges. Their role is to deliver justice at the behest of the king, but they are also allowed to act out on their own for the betterment of the kingdom.
Assets
The order is based in Blackstone Keep in Citadel. As well as the castle, the order is also in possession of several smaller hideouts and safehouses across the realm. Four hundred knights are currently in service and another two hundred knight-aspirants are under the orders protection and tutelage. The order receives ample funding from the king and has access to several horses, ships and military forces, should they require them.
History
The Order of the Knights Ironclad was formed shortly before the breakout of the Infernal Wars. They escorted the then crown prince Maronius Draven to battle in the infamous Battle of the Black Rock. The prince would ultimately die in the battle as one of the other soldiers that was escorting him stabbed him in the leg and left him in the middle of the enemy. Since then the order has taken it as its duty to bring punishment to any traitors or enemies of the realm, that would seek to harm or defile the name or person of the king.
