Humanity
Perhaps the most populous single race in all of Elsinya, humanity is a varied, determined, and hardy race.
Innumerable human cultures have risen and then fell over the course of history. Their tight-knit communities can appear in nearly any environment, from the massive Orvulian Empire to the communities along the southern coast of Alnn. To the multiple nations of Cauron. With this multitude of nations comes a multitude of ethnicities, these different groups have waged their own wars amongst themselves as well as with other races.
Humanity at times can at times be a deeply hostile and xenophobic race, but among no other group of people will such a vast variety of groups be found. Nearly anyone can find a home amongst them if they look far enough.

Naming Traditions
Human families typically choose a name for all related members, commonly known as a last name or a clan name. The means of how these proceed through generations vary wildly between cultures. Still some cultures have no familial name, instead, name a child in relation to their parentage or with relation to their specific culture.
History
Humanity is long regarded as the most ancient race that has existed on Elsinya. They were discovered by the gods upon their descent onto the planet living in a variety of different cultures, nearly all on Alnn. Some existed as nomadic herdsmen while others lived in small villages with buildings of mud, others still had quite advanced societies. Humanity remained in these lifestyles for many following centuries, only beginning significant technological advancement when they began to encounter the newer races such as the Din, Elves, and Dwarves.
The most curious aspect of humanity is their ties to the most ancient structures on the planet. Mostly scattered across Alnn and parts of Keld are numerous ancient ruins. These ruins show advanced architecture and understanding of the arcane. Within their crypts, the preserved remains of ancient humans are found along with items of significant magical ability. Currently, any knowledge of this ancient human civilization is minimal, their languages have yet to be deciphered, and the exact nature, purpose, and age of their structures remain unknown.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Humanity is capable of breeding with nearly every sapient race upon Elsinya. Their relationship with the Din and Elves is directly responsible for Half-Elves, they are also the historical relations of both Halflings and Gnomes. Tieflings are also commonly related to humans as are the rare race known as Shifters as well as the extremely rare Kalashtar.
