Bright Haven
The capital city of Walduur and the religious center of the Alliance. Both the city and the region are run primarily by the Temple of Lys, with their holy knights serving as the military might. Unlike the other regions, who decide leadership by familial succession, Walduur and Bright Haven are led by the temple's High Cleric, Waldra Littlethorn.
Demographics
While the various religious orders within the city are comprised of people from all over the Alliance, the general population is predominantly Halflings. The wealthiest citizens are those connected to the temples, with a noticeably drastic difference between them and the lower classes.
Government
The local and regional government are under the complete control of the temples, particularly the Temple of Lys. The High Cleric of Lys, Waldra, is the figurehead of this governing body. Waldra herself has little influence, despite appearances. in reality, she is only a part of the Circle of Bishops. The Circle, as they are commonly called, are a collection of Bishops from the five main temples. There are twelve members in total, four from the Temple of Lys and two from each of the remaining four temples.
The Holy Knights act as both police and as the region's military might. Their leadership answer directly to the Circle.

Defences
The city has no walls, wanting to present an appearance of openness to outsiders. Instead a wide moat has been carved around the city, branching off of the Stallion River. Two draw bridges grant access to the city, one to the west and another to the north east. These bridges are raised at sundown each day and lowered again at sunrise. At night, two holy knights stand guard at each end of each bridge. While during the day, only two are left at each bridge. Five watchtowers are placed along the inner side of the moat. Each tower is capable of holding up to four archers, but are usually manned by only one or two.
