in Elivera: The Lost Ones

Elivera is the second planet from their sun, located at 0.93 Astronomical Units (AU = distance of Earth from its Sun). Elivera has two moons; the larger moon has a radius of 955 kilometers, and its twin, that orbits further out, 434.5 kilometers in radius. The main moon exerts a larger tidal pressure on the planet than the smaller moon.  

Continental Plates

  Also, the presence of the two moons exerts some pressure on the crust and core of the planet and seismic events are frequent around the edges of continental plates. Most of these events are small, but a few large ones can hit every century or so. Most volcanoes are at these plate boundaries; although a few exist in hot spots in the middle of continental and oceanic plates.   Ratomae is actually two continental plates colliding with each other – an orogenic belt, and so it has a huge mountain range in the center of the continent.   Sefutji straddles two continental plates. Their collision creates the orogenic belt that splits this continent in two. Volcanoes are far more active on this continent than the one to the north.   Egoni exists on its own plate.   Nefutji is two plates colliding with each other, one is being subducted under the other. The Dolason Islands exist on the subducted plate and were formed from a magma bulge that is slowly traveling to northeast.   Vera is also two plates, but the second plate is the long, narrow arm that is colliding with the south-eastern edge of Vera. The second plate stretches south of the equator toward the Halik Nation, a nation spread across islands in the ocean south of Vera.  
Halik islands is on a separate plate in southern hemisphere, and many of the islands are due to the transform boundaries at the edges of this vast oceanic plate.   In the mid-latitude ocean between Vera and Sefutji, near Dolason Nevui, there is a divergent boundary, where ocean seafloor is being created.   A convergent boundary exists between Ratomae and Vera, so the ocean in that area is decreasing in size.
