The Frame Job - Session Report
General Summary
The party had woken up in a prison having no idea of they had got there or why they were sore, despite multiple painful attempts to recall. However, looking to escape they had banded together to take a key from a guard, and broke away from their cells. Their freedom faced one more obstacle in the form of having to fight their way to the prison's exit. Having dispatched of the immediate threats, they continued to climb and soon found themselves in a lighthouse, and after heading outside surprisingly found a carriage waiting for them.
Within the cart was a noble by the name of Lord Amadaeous Eberheart, who happened to be a partner/business associate to the person who hired the party for their services. He continued by saying that this benefactor, Lord Glendomere Autry, had framed the group for their involvement on what is now being labelled as a terrorist attack against the construction of a new and experimental mode of transportation called a Magram where five civilians had died. Lord Eberheart took the party back to his estate where he proposed if the group could gather clues about his involvement in the attack, and even apprehend him, he could clear their names, and in return he would get the satisfaction of seeing a long time rival being knocked down a few pegs. Also Lord Eberheart stated he would provide the group Lord Autry's whereabouts as well as the location of his residence.
All four members agreed and headed first to the Magram station, the site of the so called terrorist attack, there a few members of the group had flashbacks to the attack where Norovar remembered the smell of powder, and Jonas had recalled a figure moving about the space that was not familiar to him. Then there was an explosion that knocked everyone back. However, not finding anything solid, the party decided to head to Lord Autry's estate where they could procure his ledger said to have his dealings/contracts with each party member.
Upon arrival at his grand estate, he was not home, but his butler, and maid was. The group managed to avoid their detection for the most part, and located the ledger. However, when searching the basement, a few kegs of explosives were found. A conflict ensued with the caretakers of his residence, but the party had convinced them to leave with their lives, which they did. Before the end of the night, the party had decided to blow up his home, and had taken explosive powder and made a trail from the stash, to the outside.
Later upon Lord Autry's return, the trap was set, and thanks to a few fortunate turn of events, had blown up his residence with him still in it, and the party had assumed that he did not survive the explosion and collapse of his mansion. At the conclusion the group provided the ledger to Lord Eberheart and reported the untimely passing of his rival. With each of the party's names cleared they went their separate ways...
