Session 2.42

After a night of much needed fun and relaxation, and with just two days left prior to the start of the Summit of Nations, the party looked to consolidate more support from the leaders of the voting nations of the Summit. Seeking to best utilize their remaining time, the party had narrowed down their list of dignitaries prioritizing those that would be most receptive to their cause. The group had decided to prioritize individuals who they’ve some sort of connections with, so they decided on High Priestess Genevieve Lloras, The Reverend Mother Farrah Nightingale, Chieftain Igmut of Uhlmar, and finally the leadership of the Jade Fort (Commander Sinora Vickers). 

Hoping to catch the high priestess in her temporary estate, she had contacted Priestess Luna and notified her that she was with the Archsage as they were both studying the Book of Woe. She had notified you to come to me and had invited you into his little pocket dimension overlooking the city. When you all arrived he had introduced you to the High Priestess, and shared with you what he has learned so far about studying the book: 

1. It is an ancient text, maybe a millennia or older.
2. The tome of primordial origin, but the text itself is infernal.
3. It is some sort of weapon that uses large quantities of magical energy to conjure rifts or portals between different planes.
4. It is cursed not because someone placed a particular curse on it per say, but due to the length of time in the hands of its owner, it seems to be imbued with sheer malice. 

Afterwards, the High Priestess removed the curse that was on you, which was unbeknownst to you. Leaving you all with a feeling like a weight has been lifted. Fannti, had a unique circumstance, whether it be through a magical affinity, or a more prolonged/more intense exposure, or whether it be he just failed the most saves. Where the entire curse could not be completely lifted with the High Priestess stating that she will continue to delve further into a more permanent cure with her curse breakers. 

Before she departed, she had mentioned that she was aware of Priestess Luna’s condition calling it Body Transference, where a conduit (Priestess) is able to form a connection with someone in particular through dreams, where the conduit can experience the same sensations that the host is feeling, however, more prolonged instances of body transference only intensify the sensations felt. It is a rare phenomenon within the Kalashtar race, but she too has to do research on this matter. Finally, as a thank you for your assistance with the Veilguard Sentinels, along with backing from Master Nobu, and the unique impression you had left on her, she had agreed to give you her and the DDS’s vote in the Summit of Nations. 

Meanwhile Zhorn, the foot you had provided belonging to the Quail Hollow teacher, Menethis Pendergast, happened to be a cousin of the Archsage. 

After this productive meeting, the next stop was the Grand Cathedral of Light in Cathedral Plaza where you had met with the leader of Onyx Order, The Revered Mother Farrah Nightingale. To your amazement as well as Priestess Luna, she was not received as warmly by the leader of her religious organization as you would have hoped, because to you have not checked in with her in the last year, she had heard about your predicament from the leader of another religious organization, and you had taken a substance banned by your organization. To which the Priestess’s allies were happy to pile on. However, after invoking the goddess Lisandria’s tenet of secrecy, the Reverend Mother had let the Priestess off with what amounted as training from the First Cleric General, Calen Gallow, who would be spending a month with the Priestess on the Amethyst Island to steer her back towards the right path. As long as the Priestess was agreeable to this punishment, she would provide you with her vote during the Summit of Nations. 

With it getting later in the day the next destination was the Orc contingent in the Harborview Heights. Adding to all the surprises of the day you learned that the Chieftain Igmut is a female half orc, which says something about her despite cultural norms. After about 30 mins worth of conversations, you had garnered her vote, but due to her strong lawful compass she was unable to release her refugees to the party’s custody.
