Session 2.37

As the Summit of Nations draws ever nearer in the continent of Iberrios, the party had some free time to conduct business in the city of Greenstone on behalf of their new city. After making friends with and helping two members of the Veilguard Sentinels the party still had a few days to address other pressing matters. Upon returning to “The Villa” the party was met with their concerned hosts as well as their entourage having been gone for about 3 days with no updates. After debriefing the party once again found their table of presents filled with more cards (well wishes, and welcoming) and gifts. Most interesting was a fruit basket with an arrangement of exotic fruits in a rainbow display, as well as a medium sized jewelry box containing 10,000GP from someone simply called “The Benefactor”. Afterwards the party planned and prioritized their next visits. Eventually the consensus was to visit Archsage Amadaeous Pendergast and High Priestess Genevieve Lloras, followed by Chieftain Igmut, and The Goliath contingent.

Waking up early the next day, the party headed back towards the center of the Presidential district, where they once again ran into Master Nobu, aka the Fist of the Sun. Rhorn once again used this chance as another opportunity to gain valuable experience with a master of the martial arts. Once again, the outcome of the sparring match was similar to the first match, however, Rhorn managed to exchange more blows to the point where “The Fist” unveiled his astral projections. At the conclusion he notified the party that High Priestess Genevieve Lloras would be arriving in the city the following day. After departing Master Nobu’s company, the group made their way back to the Blacksmiths to collect their belongings. Later in the afternoon, the party decided to meet with the Archsage in his office which happened to be located in an alley in the heart of the district. To the party’s surprise the Archsage’s office was in a pocket dimension that overlooked the city. 

After exchanging some initial pleasantries Fannti brought up the Book of Woe which immediately piqued the interest of the Tiefling Wizard. Upon initial inspection he notified the group that it was once a powerful book that was maybe once a weapon used to end the war between the devils and the demons, but over time being passed around over hundreds of centuries, it seems that its power has been perverse to what it is now. 

Agreeing to hand over the tome for closer study, the Archsage teleported the party back to the Amethyst keep. To the party’s surprise they first ran into Abigail, misconstruing their visit as the party receiving the news about Lawrence’s death. She had divulged that initial causes point to foul play by poison, and she had already discussed it with the Elven leaders on the island. In response Rhorn had promised that the group would resolve/handle the issue after the Summit. Not even a few hours later, the party teleported back to Greenstone leaving the Book of Woe in the custody of the Archasage as they proceeded to their next task.
