Session 2.34

The party resumed their journey towards Greenstone after a brief meeting with an old friend of Mayor Elston Ashford, the interim leader of Peche, General Bartok. What came next was a two and half day trek to Omrith where the group would look to charter a more seaworthy vessel to take them the rest of the way to Greenstone. Upon their arrival, Priestess, Rhorn, and Fannti headed into the town, while Zhorn stayed on the River Sloth with the rest of the Tempest Troopers and the elven nobles. Upon reaching the outskirts of town, outside the Rivend’s Rest tavern and inn, there was a platoon of Federation troops surrounding an entourage of four Union soldiers and the halfling Mayor of Vence, Mayor Elaylai Willow. After assessing the situation the party was able to intuit that the Union soldiers and the mayor were being bullied to stay while they wait for the commanding officer of the village to arrive.

Eventually the Federation troops consented to let both parties into the inn/tavern, and the party learned multiple tidbits of information from the halfling mayor.

After about half an hour, a Federation officer, General Jacek, finally arrived and was more polite than anticipated and promised to uphold the terms of the Brisbanium where it stipulates that “there will be no aggressive measures taken against members of an opposing faction seeking travel through a neutral zone”. Deciding not to delay their arrival at Greenstone any longer, the party bids Sorgen farewell, and departs the Rivend’s Rest only to have the Federation bullies waiting for them. Before tensions could escalate further SOF appears and is recognized by the soldiers who promptly back down. S.O.F. then agrees to ferry the party the rest of the way to Greenstone.
