Plessesdre, Goddess of Darkness and Ebb (Pull-ess-ess-dur or Pless-ess-druh)
Plessesdre (a.k.a. Darkness Demure)
Plessesdre, also known as Darkness Demure, acts as the patron goddess of dark elves, the creatures of the Underdark, and, to some extent, the dueregar. She manifests aas a tall, classically beautiful woman wearing a dress of rippling darkness. Her voice is soft but commanding, and oftentimes the sound of wind whipping through tunnels is heard as she speaks. She commands great power in the places where Avarden's light does not touch, which only becomes greater the longer the place remains steeped in darkness. Her other domain, ebb, is less of a power and more of a descriptor, as she is cannot exist in the same space as Avarden, nor do their powers often mix. Thus, wherever Avarden is, she must not be; She can not encroach upon him, only run. Over the eons this has made her bitter and vengeful against those who exist easily in his presence.
She is worshiped by most drow as their protector, and all in the underdark know her name as one to be listened to.

Holy Books & Codes
Plessesdre often speaks directly to her most faithful devotees. Her words are sometimes written down, but unless she is declaring a new law, her will is often simply carried out.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
An eight-sided black star. High priests and priestesses use black pearls collected from clams who live in the deepest reaches of flooded caves.
Tenets of Faith
Know the light's strength, but also know it is not everpresent. There is no need to recapture what light has abandoned, it is already yours. Darkness is frightening & comforting, ugly & beautiful, and constraining & freeing. Do not let the ones who stand in the light dictate your opinions of the those who live in the dark, and vice versa.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Maintain peace in the pantheon and rule the Underdark with order and calm. Stop the civil war between the drow.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Her motivation lies in welcoming her natural weakness and working around it rather than fighting it. As one of the major, though often overlooked, gods, she regards the laws of the universe highly, and looks down on those who wish to alter the natural order.
As part of this natural order, she has resigned herself to have negative conotations to those foreign to the Underdark. She neither helps nor hinders them, though she does have a few devotees in secretive cadres that worship her above ground.
Virtues & Personality perks
Contemplative, philosophical, defender of natural order and interplanar stability.
Vices & Personality flaws
Lawful to a fault, cold to those not from the Underdark, vain.
Social
Reign
Plessesdre reigns with a loose grip on the drow. She prevents them from doing anything catastrophic, but beleives that mortals should ultimately make their own way in the world. Things are different in her church, where priests and priestesses are expected to follow her many rules to the letter.
Contacts & Relations
She maintains a close relationship to Valetta, who acts as an intermediary between Avarden and Plessesdre. Midra, whose moons are only sometimes surrounded by Avarden's light, is often visited by Darkness Demure as a close friend and confidant.
As queen of the Underdark, she maintains ties to her church. Though recent philosophical differences have led to her people forming theological sect between the major cities.
Family Ties
Her birth was mysterious, and rarely speaks of family relations. It is theorised that she may be related to Je'grol.
