Greatwood
The Greatwoods are only found in the city of Clonmeath, and tower at two hundred feet high at their tallest. They resemble sequoias, being more tall than wide, and are able to produce, hold, and channel massive amounts of magical energy around them. The druids of Clonmeath used this to their advantage to make a hallowed grove, which eventually led to the city of Clonmeath.
The Greatwoods have been used by the druids to cement a Leyline Network to flow through Clonmeath to create a protective aura around the city that prevents the intrusion of the delta's undead. In the middle of 1267 A.S., this network was damaged with dark magic, and is currently being repaired by the druids of the city.
Basic Information
Genetics and Reproduction
Greatwoods do not flower, but cuts of the trees can be made to create a sapling, though they are much weaker in their magical properties than the originals.
Growth Rate & Stages
It is unknown how long it took the Greatwoods to grow to their full height, but it is agreed that it must have taken hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
Conservation Status
Only seven in existence, and only three are mature. The druids are highly protective of the Greatwoods and do not allow outsiders to get near enough to touch them.
