The Scrios Crater ((Scry-ohs))

A massive crater/sinkhole near the edge of The Cosancoga Desert, which is thought to be the mythological place of the battle of Scrios and Voun Mountainbreaker.   The crater is located west of Eadomhain Lake, near the edge of the Cosancoga Desert. It appears as a massive dip in the surrounding desert, noticeable for miles. At the center of this dip in the desert lies a gaping hole in the earth, a four-hundred-foot straight drop into a sand-filled cavern, jagged stones and boulders protruding from the walls. Many skeletons, both human and otherwise, are scattered throughout the sand at the bottom of the pit.   The Scrios crater is named from the mythological battle between the Cosancoga Demon, Scrios, and Voun Mountainbreaker, the Great Dragon-king. Despite all the archeological expeditions to this culturally significant site, there has been no corroborating evidence that a battle was waged here by anyone.   The crater is a frequented spot for tourists, despite the danger present in the sheer drop and jagged rocks. A fair amount of the skeletons at the bottom are tourists and adventurers who wandered too close to the edge on shifting sands.
