Unbound Lantern

The Unbound Lantern is a light of hope for individuals who are lost, bewildered, or have been tricked by creatures from the metaverse. Whether you made a deal with a dimensional entity and now regret it, or you were duped into signing a contract you never fully understood, we are here to help.

Our objective is to negotiate, unravel, or identify gaps in the agreements that tie you. We know that not all entities in the metaverse operate in good faith. Many people do not come to the table in good faith or with room for mercy.

That's where we come in: to offer you a second chance, to reclaim your life... or at least a portion of it.

Structure

The Unbound Lantern is based in Slifer City, where the current CEO directs the organization's operations. They are supported by four assistant managers, each of whom is in charge of coordinating and monitoring various branches across the kingdom.

The main office also has a group of legal experts, esoteric scholars, and metaverse specialists who try to comprehend the complexity of otherworldly contracts and magical binds.

Smaller branches have a more streamlined structure, with a local director leading the way and a few experts and agents supporting the organization's purpose and assisting those in need.

Public Agenda

The Unbound Lantern exists to assist the lost, bound, and betrayed those who have been duped into dealings or locked in contracts with beings from beyond. Their purpose is to give people a genuine opportunity at freedom or, at the very least, clarity and hope in dark and difficult situations.

History

The founder and how it all started.

A tricyclopean woman named Dalila Ishtar formed the Unbound Lantern following a terrible and highly personal experience with an entity from the Fea wilds.

Her husband, trying to cure his sister from a peculiar and withering malady that had stumped all recognized healers, turned to prohibited information. The sickness gradually overtook his sister, destroying her body from within like a walking curse. With no medical remedy and supernatural intervention ineffective, he made a deal with an faerie for the Fea Wilds Realm, believing he would sacrifice something important to him in exchange for the wisdom to save her.

However, the faerie seemed uninterested in what he was offering. What it really wanted was their newborn child.

When the truth was revealed, Dalila was devastated, outraged and helpless. She sought tirelessly for a method to break the deal. She consulted gods, scholars, and spirits, but there was no obvious road forward... until a voice spoke to her. A sultry, unseen figure said calmly and powerfully:

"If you're willing to let me draw power from breaking the pact, I can help you."

Dalila inquired as to how much it would cost her and what this being expected in return.

"Not from you directly. I adore unraveling the metaverse's threads. The more havoc I create, the more power I get. I do not want your spirit, kid, or love just a little collaboration."

Together, they fought the faerie. The entity arrived to collect the youngster, smirking as the deal required. But Dalila stood in its way.

"He may have offered you the child, but it is mine, and we made no such agreement. You can't steal something he doesn't totally own.

The faerie's smile disappeared. It roared, threatening to seize the father's heart instead.

"Too late," Dalila responded. "He already gave it to me. "We are soul bound."

The faerie, bound by metaphysical restrictions that it could not breach, battled back, hurting the spouse, but was eventually forced to retreat.

Dalila formed The Unbound Lantern as a result of this event, with the goal of assisting others who had been deceived, fooled, or bound by extradimensional forces. Using her knowledge, dedication, and strange new allies, she began teaching people how to break free from the metaverse's confines and recover their lives.
