Umbra Realm
The Umbra Realm is a huge, gloomy forest where animals hide in the darkness, waiting for the unfortunate. The trees stand tall with deep brown, black, or dark gray bark and are frequently bereft of leaves—or, if they have any, they appear wilted or turn dark green or deep purple. The flora here is equally threatening, with thorny plants and carnivorous species thriving. This realm is perpetually dark, with time indicated solely by the changing number of stars. What would be "day" is filled with countless stars, while "night" sees them fade to a mere glimmer. Except for the stars light, there are no moons or celestial bodies, giving the sky an eerie with very little light.
The creatures of the Umbra Realm have mastered the darkness, surviving in the shadows thanks to their incredible resistance to dark and the ability to wield tremendous daark magic. If you see a shadow move, there is probably something lurking inside. These beings appear in shades of black, gray, and deep purple, their fur or scales blending in with the darkness. Most are apex predators, armed with razor-sharp claws and fangs designed to rip into one another—or anything else that dares to cross their path. Every species here has evolved to see in the dark, so don't assume that just because you can't see them, they can't see you.
