The War of Ascendancy

The great conflict truly began when the Corrupt Deities unleashed their demonic beings upon the world, attacking and laying waste to numerous kingdoms. As these twisted gods waged war against their Sacred counterparts, it became clear that while the deities themselves were evenly matched, the mortal world was vastly outclassed and unprepared.

To tip the balance, Each Sacred Deities sent their avatars to guide and protect the people. In doing so, they founded the Divine Church, granting blessings and powerful abilities to chosen mortals so they could stand against the demonic scourge. As the battles grew fiercer, entire nations fell, and demons conquered or destroyed much of the known world.

It was then that the Sacred Deity with their Divine Wisdom chose eight individuals and bestowed upon them divine power and insight. These eight became the first leaders of the Divine Church and were entrusted with a sacred rite—an ancient sealing technique powerful enough to rid the world of demonic influence.

With renewed strength and purpose, the forces of the Sacred Deities launched a final counterattack. They drove the Corrupt Deities back into their own domains, breaking their control over the mortal world. The sealing ritual was enacted, banishing the demons and monsters from the realm and locking them away beyond reach.

The world was saved, but much was destroyed and lost. Now, it must heal and rebuild. Because of this, we have very few records of the battle—only scattered fragments and the sacred texts that hint at what truly happened.
