Many of its temples and mystical ceremonial grounds have been reconstructed or repaired from before the Golden lock, maintaining historic architecture while incorporating modern advances. Whether you're a pilgrim, a scholar, or an adventurer, Slifer provides a unique blend of luxury, heritage, and arcane discovery.

Defences

Slifer City is surrounded by several brown obelisks, each of which serves as part of a formidable defense network. In an emergency, these towers can be activated to create a force field that covers the entire city. This barrier prevents both magical attacks and interdimensional travel from crossing the city's limits.

It effectively stops external powers from directly summoning creatures or casting spells within the city. Any such attempts are either redirected back to their source or deemed ineffective. Even healing or supportive magic thrown from outside the barrier will rebound or fail completely, ensuring that the city is protected from all outside magical meddling during times of crisis.

Architecture

Slifer City's buildings, both modern and ancient, are mostly made of stone and glass, which are the most resilient materials for enduring the harsh climate. This ritual has been in place for generations and is still followed today.

Structures vary greatly in design and size, particularly when associated with summoning magic or arcane operations. Many older structures have been refurbished, adding new enchantments or structural advancements while retaining their original foundations. It is typical to locate entire communities whose homes have been converted from pre-Golden Lock ruins.

Ancient temples typically had two major shapes: pyramids and domes. These classic forms have served as inspiration for many of the city's more modern structures. However, not all temple designs are traditional. One prominent temple, fashioned like the number 8, was created to research energy flow and magical resonance.

Market stalls are spread around the city for easy access, especially for food vendors. Most businesses and storefronts are constructed in plain stone squares, whereas private buildings are either square or dome-shaped, depending on age and design influences.
