Pocketses

Pocketses are a clever innovation of the Delmar Kingdom—oversized pockets that hang nearly to the knee, with several smaller compartments sewn inside. Each inner pocket varies in size and depth, allowing halflings (and anyone else lucky enough to own a set) to carry both tools and snacks without mixing the two.   Unlike ordinary cloth pouches, Pocketses are made of sturdy leather or reinforced material, capable of holding real weight without sagging or tearing. A well-packed set might contain anything from garden seeds, cookies, and dried fruit to small vials of drink, hand tools, or even grapes and raisins. In short—everything a hard-working halfling needs to stay both productive and happily fed.

History

The inventor of Pocketses was Tever Hillspell, a repairman often called to mend ovens across the kingdom. Tever grew frustrated with his old tool pouches: his wrenches, screws, and nails kept spilling into his snack bags, leaving crumbs and grease on everything. One day, after finding his bread flattened against a hammer, he swore enough was enough.   He began experimenting with layered designs deep leather pockets lined with smaller sections for nuts, screws, hand tools, and, most importantly, snacks. Soon he perfected the balance: one side for tools, the other for food, all organized and safe from mixing together.   When his friends saw the design, they immediately asked him to make more. Word spread quickly, and before long, Tever’s invention wasn’t just a practical aid—it became a fashion trend across Delmar, especially among halflings who prized efficiency and always having a bite close at hand.
