Miraspindle
Miraspindle, sometimes known as the Moon Spider, is a rare and remarkable arachnid with a distinct three-stage life cycle. It begins life as the Moonbud Weaver, a massive spider with gentle blue and white coloring.
During a full moon, the Moonbud Weaver creates a silken cocoon and undergoes a profound metamorphosis, absorbing the essence of the moonlight. The type of full moon determines its final shape:
If the full moon is Leonardo, the white moon, the spider morphs into the Pale Howler, a larger, hairier variation known for its aggressive disposition and powerful venom.
If the full moon is Odessa, or the blue moon, it transforms into the Moonlace Widow, a sleek, graceful form that is faster and more elusive, with webbing that shines faintly under starlight.
The Miraspindle's dual-path metamorphosis makes it one of the most intriguing and sought-after arachnids in nature, a living incarnation of lunar magic.

Basic Information
Anatomy
The Moonbud Weaver is a medium size black spider with six yellow eyes large ones and four smaller ones arranged just behind them. Its abdomen bears two distinct color zones: one a pale, whitish gray, and the other a deep, dark blue. At the center of its abdomen lies a striking oval marking that has flipped the colors. Both its pedipalps and spinnerets are small and pitch black, blending smoothly with its body.
Pale Howler A large, eight legged spider with a black body and whitish gray limbs. Each of its eight legs ends in sharply pointed tips, giving it a jagged, angular stance. It has two prominent spinnerets and an oversized mouth lined with sharp, curved teeth. Surrounding the mouth are six pedipalps, which twitch and curl while it waits to strike often giving the impression that it's pulling prey toward its fangs.
Its face features two large, glowing yellow eyes and two smaller ones set just behind them. Along its abdomen is a large, pale gray marking shaped like outstretched wings though purely a pattern, not functional. Wisps of yellow hair cover its body, giving it a strange, sickly sheen under moonlight.
The Moonlace Widow is a large spider with an elegant yet unnerving appearance. Its eight legs are a deep, dark blue, while its main body gleams with a vibrant blue sheen marked by bold black stripes. A distinctive teal stripe runs from the base of its abdomen all the way to a pointed tip between its eyes, creating a sleek, arrow like design.
Its spinnerets are short and black, positioned near the rear, while its pedipalps are strikingly long about half the length of its front legs and share the same glossy black hue. The creature's face features two large, forward-facing eyes, each flanked by a pair of smaller eyes just behind, for a total of six. Graceful yet haunting, the Moonlace Widow moves with eerie precision and is often mistaken for a shadow gliding across moonlit stone.

Biological Traits
The Moonbud Weaver is a typical medium spider, known for its excellent wall-crawling abilities, strong webbing skills, and quick reflexes. Though its venom is relatively weak, it compensates with agility and precision. At first glance, it may appear to be just another oversized arachnid—but its striking appearance and unusual biology suggest otherwise.
The Pale Howler possesses several of the same talents as the Moonbud Weaver, such as quick reflexes, wall crawling, and superb web weaving. However, it is much dangerous. Its bite is much stronger, and its webs are reinforced with additional tensile strength, helping it to readily bring victims into its grasp.
Its poison is also more potent, capable of slowing or momentarily paralyzing its victims, allowing the beast to savor its meal.
The Pale Howler has a unique power that it can only use once a day: by channeling magical aura energy through its body, it produces a brief magical flash that reflects strong white light in a broad area, blinding adjacent creatures. This blinding burst is often employed to confuse prey or as a defense maneuver if the creature is outmatched. It also inherently resistant to d light magic.
The Moonlace Widow is the most nimble of the three Miraspindle forms, with exceptional speed and reflexes. It retains outstanding wall-crawling and web-weaving abilities, as did its predecessor, the Moonbud Weaver. Its bite is mediocre at initially, but that changes quickly when it uses its intrinsic magical power.
The Moonlace Widow can imbue its fangs with elemental ice, transforming its bite into a freezing attack that does extra cold damage. The frost penetrates the target's flesh, numbing limbs and draining stamina.
Even more hazardous is its distinctive webbing. This enchanted silk, made from pale blue strands laced with a thin, magical frost essence, emits a shimmering liquid that seeps into the skin of whatever creature it comes into contact with. Upon touch, it slows the target's internal functioning down to the cellular level, making escape extremely impossible without outside assistance or tremendous power.
The Moonlace Widow is inherently resistant to cold and light magic, However, it is highly susceptible to fire, and flames magic.

Spell-like Abilities: Flash Pulse (Su)
1/day as a standard action, the Pale Howler can emit a brilliant, silvery-white light from the markings on its back. All creatures within a 30-ft. cone must succeed at a DC 15
Fortitude save or be blinded for 1 round and dazzled for 1d4 rounds thereafter.
Creatures who fail by 5 or more are blinded for 1d4 rounds.
The Pale Howler often uses this to retreat or set up a lethal bite.

Growth Rate & Stages
Miraspindles are small, magical spiders that take approximately three years to reach full size and coloration. In this early stage, they are commonly known across the world as Moonbud Weavers.
On the 10th year of their life, something remarkable occurs. During a full moon, the spider will spin a thick, web-like cocoon designed to absorb the lunar energy. This cocoon anchors the creature in place and begins a slow, magical transformation that lasts about two weeks. The form it takes depends entirely on which moon was full at the time of cocooning:

This cocoon anchors the creature in place and begins a slow, magical transformation that lasts about two weeks. The form it takes depends entirely on which moon was full at the time of cocooning:
- If Leonardo, the white moon, was full, the Miraspindle evolves into a Pale Howler.
- If Odessa, the blue moon, was full, it becomes a Moonlace Widow.
