Lunbresk

Lunbresk operates under the same Crowned Republic system that governs the Kingdom of Saint Oxford, blending monarchical authority, parliamentary oversight, and local governance.   The city of Lunbresk and its surrounding towns are overseen by Earl Kurt Armadale, a sitting Member of Parliament. As Earl, Kurt serves as the monarch’s regional authority while also representing Lunbresk’s interests within Parliament. His rule is not absolute; instead, it functions through constant coordination with other parliamentary members and representatives of key civic institutions.   Lunbresk’s administration is a hybrid system composed of nobility, parliamentary influence, and guild authority. Several Barons and Baronesses operate under the Earl, each responsible for specific districts, trades, or economic sectors within the city and nearby settlements. These nobles manage local affairs while remaining accountable to both the Earl and parliamentary law.   In addition, representatives from major guilds, religious institutions, and the Kingdom’s Magus Core play advisory and regulatory roles. While they do not rule directly, their influence shapes policy, trade regulations, magical oversight, and civic planning, ensuring the city remains aligned with both economic needs and arcane safety laws.   Law and authority flow downward from the monarch, through the Earl, and into Lunbresk’s judicial and enforcement structures. Judges stationed within the city interpret and enforce Kingdom law in accordance with rulings from the Royal High Court. These judges operate independently but are locally assigned to ensure swift justice.   The city guard and law officers fall under the Earl’s authority but are administratively commanded by an appointed Admiral, who oversees day-to-day security, patrols, and emergency response. This delegation allows the Earl to focus on governance, diplomacy, and parliamentary duties while maintaining effective control over public order.   Other nobles and parliamentary members residing in or near Lunbresk may maintain small private forces, which are permitted under Kingdom law. These forces can be called upon to assist in defense or law enforcement during crises, though ultimate authority rests with the Earl and the Kingdom’s legal framework.

Lunbresk is divided into several distinct districts, shaped by both geography and social structure.   At the heart of the city, rising toward the northeastern high ground, stands the largest hill. At its peak is the Duke’s estate, surrounded by noble residences, elite guards, and the wealthiest centers of commerce and administration. This elevated district serves as the political and economic core of Lunbresk.   From this central high district, the city gradually spreads outward into the main urban districts, where well-built homes, thriving businesses, and guild halls are found. These neighborhoods house skilled artisans, merchants, and established families, forming the backbone of the city’s daily life.   Further outward lie the common districts, where the majority of Lunbresk’s population resides. These areas are more densely packed and practical in design, though still supported by sturdy infrastructure. Interspersed among them particularly along the western and southern edges are wider districts with open land reserved for guild compounds, temples, and church grounds, allowing these organizations space for training, storage, and public services.   To the north, the city contains several water facilities, including reservoirs and the primary piping and flow-control systems that regulate Lunbresk’s water supply. These areas are heavily monitored and maintained due to their importance to the city’s survival.   The eastern side of Lunbresk transitions into expansive farmland, which supplies food to the city and surrounding settlements. Running through these farmlands is a train track, used for express travel and the rapid transport of goods to and from the city.   Lunbresk is fully developed with a planned road network and large, stable buildings constructed primarily from stone and brick. A ten-foot defensive wall encloses the main city, with major entrance gates located on the east, west, and south sides, providing both security and controlled access for trade and travel.

Crimson Lion Adventuring Guild

The Crimson Lion Adventuring Guild, unlike the Hunter’s Guild, serves as the primary adventuring guild of the Kingdom of Saint Oxford and maintains a strong, long-standing connection with Lunbresk. One of the guild’s main hubs is located within the city, making it a major presence in both civic life and regional defense.   The Crimson Lion Guild provides a centralized place for citizens and adventurers to find work. Most guild contracts involve monster hunting, material and herb collection, and assistance to other organizations, particularly in roles requiring manual labor, protection, or escort services. This includes guard duty for travelers, support for caravans, and various small but essential tasks that fall outside traditional trade or construction professions. The guild plays a vital role in maintaining safety and stability throughout the city and its surrounding regions.  

Merchant Guild

The Merchant Guild of Lunbresk is overseen by Baroness Amarillo Ferran, who acts as both regulator and advocate for trade within the city. She works closely with major companies, established merchant houses, and long-distance trade networks.   Supporting her are six appointed retainers, each tasked with assisting and advising smaller businesses. This governing group oversees all commercial activity within the city, providing guidance, mediation, and enforcement of trade laws. Any new business venture, trade agreement, or large-scale commercial operation must be registered and approved through the Merchant Guild, ensuring fair practice and economic stability within Lunbresk.  

The Followers of the Sacred Divine 8

Lunbresk contains four active churches dedicated to the Divine Eight:  

• Sacred Church of Hikari
• Sacred Church of Chikyu
• Sacred Church of Seishin
• Sacred Church of Yami

  While the Churches of Mizu and Kaze exist within the surrounding territory, they are not located inside the main city walls.   These churches work cooperatively to represent their followers and to provide spiritual guidance, healing, and social aid to the population. Each church has taken on responsibility for medical assistance, particularly for the common folk who lack access to private care. The Church of Hikira plays a notable role in this effort, operating an orphanage in coordination with the Kingdom to help provide homes and support for children in need.   Beyond their religious duties, the churches maintain trained clerics and paladins, who offer protection, healing, and emergency aid during times of crisis or unrest, making them an essential pillar of Lunbresk’s civic structure.  

Medical and Alchemy Organization

The Medical and Alchemy Organization is a government-run institution present in all major cities across Saint Oxford. Each branch is overseen by a sitting Member of Parliament to ensure transparency and public safety.   In Lunbresk, this organization is led by Katerina Paul, a highly respected physician and alchemist who was voted into her position. The organization’s primary responsibility is to regulate medical treatments, alchemical substances, and potion creation. This includes ensuring proper testing procedures, enforcing safety standards, and preventing the use of dangerous or unethical practices.   Their oversight guarantees that citizens receive safe, effective medical care, and that alchemical research and production remain controlled, ethical, and beneficial to the Kingdom as a whole.

Fox & Dinner:A New Hope

Fox & Dinner: A New Hope is a refined dining establishment specializing in Foxfolk delicacies paired with exceptional teas from across Saint Oxford and beyond.   Signature dishes include Honey-Glazed Gamebird or Tofu, Steamed River Fish with Herbs, and Sweet Soy Braised Roots & Meat, each carefully matched with curated tea selections. The restaurant is especially renowned for its Roasted Barley and Nut Tea, a local favorite.   The atmosphere is quiet and intimate, making it an ideal place to enjoy rare flavors and a peaceful moment while sampling delicacies inspired by cultures from across the sea.  

MP Library

The MP Library was founded by Marcus Penthragoth, a visionary scholar who believed knowledge should be accessible to the public. Known for both his academic passion and his love of games, Marcus ensured the library reflected both pursuits.   The library spans three stories and covers a wide range of subjects, including history, noble lineages, political theory, natural science, elemental theory, and strategic studies. While it does not contain direct spell instructions, it excels in theoretical understanding of magic and the foundations of arcane study.   A dedicated section houses board games and tactical games, all enchanted so that no pieces may leave the library. Whether researching history or refining strategy, the MP Library serves scholars, adventurers, and common folk alike.  

Church of Hikira

Unlike other temples of Hikira within the Kingdom, the Lunbresk church is a large and prominent complex, built atop a gentle hill. The main structure is crafted from white stone, elegant and serene, matching the grandeur of other major churches.   Connected buildings extend from the main hall: the eastern wing houses a fully staffed medical facility, while the western wing serves as an orphanage, offering care and hope to children who have lost everything.   Surrounding the complex are expansive gardens filled with flowers in soft pastel and prismatic hues, symbolizing light and renewal even in difficult times. For common folk seeking spiritual guidance, physical healing, or refuge, the Church of Hikira stands as a beacon of compassion and hope.  

Frederick Coliseum

The Frederick Coliseum is Lunbresk’s premier venue for spectacles, competitions, and grand public events. It was designed and commissioned by Frederick Fargate, a visionary noble who sought to celebrate the city’s strength, skill, and thriving culture of entertainment.   Originally constructed to showcase great hunts, martial exhibitions, and Charge Ball, the coliseum has since become the primary championship arena for Charge Ball in the southern regions of the Kingdom. It also serves as an official site for Silver- to Ruby-rank advancement trials for the Crimson Lion Adventuring Guild, making it a proving ground for elite adventurers.   Beyond combat and sport, the Frederick Coliseum regularly hosts large-scale displays of art and craftsmanship, competitive demonstrations, and grand exhibitions. It is a favored location for any major event that highlights physical prowess, spectacle, or showmanship, including performances styled after traveling circuses and power exhibitions meant to awe the public.   Viewed from above, the structure is deliberately shaped like an eye, symbolizing vigilance, attention, and the ever-watching gaze of the city. The arena is built from yellow-painted Gin stone, with seating rising in tiered rows up to three stories high. Along the upper exterior, vendor stalls offer food, trinkets, and commemorative items during major events.   While the central arena floor frequently shifts between different terrains and configurations, one feature never changes: a yellow circle known as the Eye of the Coliseum. It is said that once you step within its bounds, the city’s eyes are upon you so give them a show worth remembering.  

Maiden Botanical Garden

The Maiden Botanical Garden is a tranquil five-mile walkway nestled between the noble and civic districts, where two hills meet. Designed by followers of Chikyu and Yami, along with several noble patrons, the garden was created to give the city a place of beauty and reflection.   The path gently slopes downward, lined with elegant benches, trees, and carefully cultivated flora many chosen for their night-blooming qualities, glowing in soft purples and blues under moonlight. The walkway is wide enough for four people to walk side by side, while the planted areas stretch roughly twelve feet on either side.   At the garden’s midpoint, the path opens into a broad clearing used for picnics, meditation, and quiet gatherings. Visitors are asked to refrain from sports or loud activity, as the space is meant for calm appreciation and rest.  

The Lily Lantern

The Lily Lantern is one of Lunbresk’s most beloved destinations for a romantic evening. Built from dark-stained wood, the restaurant features large bay windows that overlook enchanted walkways and lily follower illuminated by floating paper lanterns in shifting hues.   Outside seating areas allow guests to admire lilies blooming in many colors, while inside the space glows softly with pink and yellow lantern light, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. Tables are generously spaced to preserve privacy and comfort.   The food is exceptional, best enjoyed alongside the gentle rhythm of violin music drifting through the room. For couples seeking a memorable night filled with beauty, calm, and quiet connection, The Lily Lantern is an unforgettable choice.
