Gleamers

Gleamers are a growing subculture in the Kingdom of Harmony, distinguished by their polished look and undeniable aura of formality. They stick out in casual surroundings like royalty in a tavern. In economic or diplomatic circles, however, they fit in almost too well. You'll recognize a Gleamer when you see it.

Culture

Shared customary codes and values

To outsiders, Gleamers may seem cold, even arrogant. They speak with clipped precision, rarely indulging in long and imaginative stories or emotional tangents. But this is no accident it’s a conscious rejection of what they see as Harmony’s biggest flaw: its looseness.

In a kingdom built by adventurers and dreamers, Gleamers crave order, structure, and discipline. They see themselves as the standard bearers of a better future, one that moves past "chill vibes" and whimsical heroes. They admire the elegance of old dictionaries and the power of high ranking traders icons of knowledge and success. To them, the average free spirited adventurer is not necessarily beneath them… but certainly in need of a sharper and cleaner direction.

Common Etiquette rules

If you meet a Gleamer, they will always speak with the utmost respect and dignity treating you almost as if you were someone of note. However, if you're not someone they wish to engage with, you'll notice the difference in subtle ways: their words will be clipped, their phrases shorter, and the conversation quietly hurried along. Rarely are they ever outright rude or overtly dismissive.

Gleamers firmly believe in maintaining a respectful and straightforward manner. They approach every interaction even those with family as if it were a professional negotiation. To them, the outer and inner self should be one and the same, not just during work or formal occasions, but as a constant way of being.

This stems from a deep seated frustration. They are tired of watching the loud, reckless, and theatrical receive praise while the diligent and composed go unnoticed. They fear that the growing celebration of chaotic adventuring culture and the looseness of the Kingdom’s leadership may one day lead to societal collapse. In response, the Gleamers hold fast to structure, consistency, and the belief that discipline is its own quiet power.

Common Dress code

Men often wear fitted suits that include vests, ties or bow ties, and sharply pointed leather shoes. Their hair is clean trimmed, usually slicked back or carefully styled, and their faces are perfectly shaved. To maintain a sophisticated, professional appearance, they carry belt pouches made of sleek black leather or Cashmere.

Women dress similarly with restraint and elegance, pairing skirts with nylons, pointed flats, and blazers or fitting jackets over pristine button-up shirts. Some may choose straight cut, solid colored gowns in muted tones, with no flashy accents or embellishments. If they carry a bag or have a belt pouch it's most like made out of Cashmere or something firm material with a mute colors to go with the outfit making it very uniformity and quarterly

Both genders frequently round off their clothes with a fedora or a modest top hat.

The Gleamers' style of dress and design finds its roots in the Nobles both over and new of elite artisans and high-level tradesmen. However, they believed that such fashion—while impressive was far too flashy, loud, and impractical for everyday life or professional work.

So, they adapted it. They stripped away the excess, refined the silhouettes, and streamlined the look into something crisp, quiet, and intentional. In doing so, they crafted a style that is distinctly their own one that reflects discipline, structure, and a deep respect for presentation without the need for flamboyance.

Their appearance isn’t just fashion; it’s a statement of values. Clean lines. Purposeful choices. Quiet pride
