Rillan Aur
"Rillian Aur" - Ancient Elvish for Spring of Life
Geography
Rillan Aur is located deep in the mountains, near the summit of one of the mountains. Several rivers flow down the hill originating from this spring, notably the Maiden's Flow river, which ends at the coast and the city of Mauribon.
The water is described as being impossibly clear, yet it is surrounded by a mist and fog that echoes the power of the location. It is surrounded by lush plants and flowers, creating a peaceful atmosphere that is distinct from the surrounding mountainous region.
Climate
Rillan Aur has a mythical bubble around it, creating a climate that is always sunny and warm, despite the storms or other weather raging around it.
History
Creation of Life
Rillian Aur is where sentient life first began, when Athair lent his power of creation to his daughter Mauri, who used the power of the Spring to create the Elves. Krouin later worked with his Father and used the energy of the mountains around the spring to make the Dwarves. Finally, Kelenner utilized the warmth of the air and the passion his siblings had for their creation to bring the first humans into being.
Time of Migration
The race of men were the first to head down the mountain, followed by the Dwarves, who instead went the opposite way, further into the hills. Finally, the Elves followed their mother, Mauri, down the river to explore the rest of the continent.
Divine Place of Power
Rillan Aur served as the primary location where the Eldrin met with one another and their father, Athair, during the Age of Light. It was said by clerics who were allowed to visit the Spring that it shone with the glory and magnificence of the Father, who seemed to have made it his abode.
Age of the Storm
During the Fallen's rebellion, Rillian Aur disappeared from its known location and became inaccessible to the Fallen, and even hard to find for the other three Eldrin. With their disappearance after the celestial conflict, the current location of Rillan Aur has fallen out of time.
Age of Restoration
The Elven people of the Elemental Enclaves initially sent several groups, including the Stor Telan, to find the location of the Spring, believing that its waters could help restore balance to lands decimated by the Storm. However, despite hundreds of expeditions over thousands of years, the location was never found, leaving many to wonder if it no longer rested on the physical plane.
