Ankoreth
If His creation was so good, how have I been able to twist them so easily.
The Ankoreth are a testament to how depraved the Fallen has become in his quest to rebel against Creation itself. Their very existence is a scream of agony and a weapon forged from Despair.
The Ankoreth are the ultimate expression of the Fallen's contempt for his father. They are a direct mockery of creation, taking the beauty and potential of sentient life and twisting it into something utterly monstrous and agonizing. Beyond this statement, they serve as his deranged shock troops, creatures of immense power and unwavering loyalty, designed to sow chaos and destruction across Eldux.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Shape: Humanoid
Skeletal-Muscular System
Limbs: They retain two arms and two legs.
Tall and Powerfully Built
Unlike their former Elven physiques, which were often short, slender, and graceful, the Ankoreth's metamorphosis has resulted in a large and powerful build.
Horns
Ankoreth sport prominent jagged horns that vary in shape and size. These are hardened and razor-sharp.
Eyes
Their eyes are sunken in and have an unnatural, cold light to their red irises.
Mouth and Teeth
Their mouths are similar, distorted, and feature rows of jagged, sharp teeth. Occasionally, one might even have tusks.
Massive Scarring
Their bodies still carry each mark left by the torture they endured, leaving a series of grotesque scars, branks, or even ritualistic markings.
Genetics and Reproduction
Ankoreth do not reproduce, but are artifically created.
Prisoners who had the misfortune of being held in Gor'dol were subjected to countless hours of physical and psychological torture. The process was designed to break their minds, bodies, and spirits systematically. The Fallen Himself tortured the original victims, but later it was done by loyal Aethils who followed him.
Once deemed 'mallable', their very essence was exposed to the raw anti-matter energy developed by the Fallen. This was not a quick process, but a long, excruciating metamorphosis.
Behaviour
The process of creating an Ankoreth has left their minds shattered, leaving them with none of the traditional thinking, reasoning, or other skills that the former Elf possessed.
Mindless Rage
Their existence is a perpetual state of agonized rage and destructive instinct. They are apt to lash out at anything that moves, driven by this constant pain.
Conditioned Obedience
The Eldrin of Trickery has learned many ways to usurp one's free will and has conditioned the Ankoreth to answer to himself or his Aethils
Despair and Emptiness
Beneath their rage, there is nothing but an overwhelming sense of emptiness and profound despair. Knowledge and Memory were once the domains of Anko, and he has left them with nothing.
They are larger and more powerfully built than their former selves.
Their skin is often cracked, coarse, and mottled, and has a sickly red tint.
