Aelagrad

Humans primarily inhabit this city, and while other races are welcome, there is a stigma they face that does not encourage mass immigration to the city.

The Original Plateau

The original city remains on the natural stone pillar that the original settlers found. By the modern era, it is reserved for high officials, wealthy merchants, and other upper-class individuals.

The Cliffs

The cliffside of the plateau has been adapted with walkways and houses built along and within the outer cliffs. These are largely residential areas for the town's merchants, scholars, and other middle-class individuals.

The Bogs

The northern section of the city has become its slums, due to lack of defensive locations, bad terrain, and limited flesh water.

The Riverside

To the South, a river flows from Aelagrad to the ocean, making the south side the trade hub of the city.

Being built on top of a natural wonder has set Aelagrad apart from other capitals, and its large population and status as the trade hub of the eastern coast have made it the second-largest travel hub on the Central Continent.

Aelagrad was built onto a plateau in the Western Marshes, with the strong natural pillar hoisting the capital city high above the terrain. The marshes that surround the town to the north and the plains under its control for miles to the West give it a defensible location that helped it to withstand 39 sieges over 200 years during the Great Storm.

The area in southern Siorain is very humid due to its southern location and the marshes contributing to a warm temperature for the majority of the year.
