The Lykeion

When the political climate began to shift in the north, King Eilohzân of Beht'adur did not like the way things were moving and changing. The fair king of Súvalonädír, who had held a healthy relationship with his kingdom of Beht'adur, disappeared completely. All attempts to learn of his status were met with stonewalling and the deaths or disappearances of the envoys sent to find out more. With the help of the Prince of the Shores, the Prince of the Mountain Gate, the Princess of the Springs, and the Prince of the Orchards, King Eilohzân esablished the Lykeion—an institution that would serve to teach and to train the commonfolk of the kingdom on how to defend themselves. The Lykeion's true purpose was never shared beyond the bounds of the kingdom for fear of what the Sorcerer Queen might do if she learned of it.

Academics

A beacon of knowledge and progress to the people of Beht'adur, the Lykeion offers a range of courses and training that serve to prepare people in all manners of self-defense. The Lykeion offers pathes of learning involving self-sufficency, pathfinding, self-defense, and all modes of defense and offense when it comes to family and kingdom, such as:

The Principal Prince Ongdeigâut of the Shores Honorable descendant of the Prince of the Shores who aided Eilohzân in the founding of the school.
The Vice-Principal Mir Lessâsu Otogíjet The just and reasonable second-in-command.
Head of Wilderness Survival Mir Estajeiq of the Mountain Gate A keen and intelligent survivalist, he was more at home out amongst the unsettled wilds than amongst his fellow humans before he was invited to fill this role.
Head of Archery Princess Estaeizar of the Springs One of the best archers and huntresses in Beht'adur, only surpassed by her brother.
Head of Infantry Training Captain Qaz ben-Ezqa A proud, yet virtuous knight and former captain of the Pearlcrest City Guard. He sees his appointment to this position as a great honour.
Head of Cooking Lady Tâsí of the Orchards A motherly woman who isn't afraid to raise her voice in order to whip her students into shape. Fiercsome with her wooden spoon, she has lead many a man, woman, adventurer, and hopeful hero in the delicate art of crafting a delicious and nutritious meal no matter where you are. Her teaching has probably kept more than one student from starving when their supplies have nearly run out.
