Eraina Silversong

Eraina was born a noble woman in Arvaria in a trading village along the river. Her father owned a trading business and her mother ran a successful shop. Eraina prepared most of her life to take over the shop when she came of age, if she was not taken as a concubine or wife to one of the ruling houses.   Fate was not as kind. Her village was raided by slavers when she was fourteen. She and others captured during the raid were taken up river and into Agaland where a Writ of Slavery was drafted for her by corrupt government officials, making her capture look legitimate.    During one of their outings, the king and queen had the good fortune of stumbling upon her slave auction. The king's reputation for taking lovely looking maidens into the castle as staff was well known through the kingdom. The slaver exploited Eraina's beauty to lure the king in for a sale. However, it was Lillian Steelheart who purchased her writ and the writ of other slaves present.    Eraina was taken in as a handmaiden for the queen. The queen promised them freedom, it was only a matter of time before she could justifiably release them. Until then, Eraina and the others were treated well by the queen. But that did not last. Some years after being taken in, Hadrick Steelheart began to start calling on her for services as a servant. Months later, it escalated to forcing her into his bed. She kept the truth hidden from Lillian. Alas, it could not stay hidden forever. Eraina found herself pregnant by Hadrick's abuse and confessed to Lillian.   Lillian assigned two of her own personal guard to Eraina and provided each of the three with a coin purse of gold and documents to allow them to draw more from the queen's personal accounts in key locations. Eraina was to be spirited away to the east, to Gyrminia where Lillian owned lands that Eraina could live until she was ready to return to her home country or flee further. In the dead of night, she slipped away with her guards.   Travel was slow and difficult, made worse by the threat of king's personal assassins giving chase. They drew closer to the Gyrminia borders, but did not quite make it before Eraina went into labor. She gave birth to a baby boy, Erwon Silversong. For near three years, they remained in one place. Eraina fell in love with one of her guards and he treated Erwon as if he were his own son.    They were eventually discovered by Hadrick's forces, forcing them to resume their flight east. Her lover sacrificed himself, leaving Eraina in the care of the other guard and the rebel network. They almost made it to the border when Eraina and her remaining guard fell ill with a lung infection. In her fevered haze, she confessed Erwon's father to the rebels. Her remaining guard succumbed to the infection first, Eraina a week later, leaving Erwon in the care of the rebellion.

Eraina was Bisexual

Eraina was afforded a basic education as well as a thorough education in business.

Eraina's early years saw her as an apprentice business woman. She spent some months as a slave before her final role as a hand maiden.

Eraina is the only girl to successfully escape Hadrick Steelheart long enough to birth his bastard child.

Eraina suffered from nightmares after being taken as a slave. Over time, the trauma faded enough to live a normal life and function until it was revived and amplified by the abuse from Hadrick.
