Determining the Numbers

Generating your ability scores is a different process then the normal process. In Eldridth, when forming a hero there are three option. You can take the Eldridth Hero Array, which is made up as follows:

-16 - 15 - 14 - 12 - 10 - 9-

The next alternative is rolling for your statistics. Rolling will need to be done with the DM for your campaign, and to determine your stats you would roll 5d6 . You then ignore the lowest two die, and add the others together. Repeat this 6 times. In Eldridth, a player character is meant to be strong, and be heroically able. This means you will re-roll results under 9. It also means that if you do not end up with at least two stats 14 or higher, you can choose one of the other methods or re-roll again all the statistic.
The last option is a split between the two, you can take 16 14 10, and roll 5d6 3 times ignoring the lowest 2, and re-rolling anything below a 9.

Assigning the scores

Once you have your scores, known, now is a good time to decide what you want for a race and class you are going to choose. Knowing the class you are going to choose lets you know how to assign your scores, and knowing your race will give you the final starting numbers as races have specific adjustments to your ability scores.
You can use the summaries below to help you make the decision. It goes into a bit more depth on the Understanding Ability Scores page.
