Continuation at Serpent's Veil Lake! Report
General Summary
- The party started out tieing up Uthric to a post on the deck of Jeremy Wade's fishing shack.
- Soon after they made their trek towards the druid circle with bodies drained of their blood as mentioned by Uthric himself.
- About 45 minutes away from their destination, they met a halfling druid known as the Lone Druid Syla with his spirit bear, an orc named Gunter from The Pit in the West by the Umbral Gate, and a wisp named Io who spoke in primordial of the owlbear being seen in the East side of the lake.
- Syla recognized Taldric and was skeptical about his return.
- Taldric discovered he was considered undead.
- Syla informed them of the druid ritual circle and how it was odd.
- Upon further inspection Jade and one other (I forget who got above a 16) noticed that in between the pillars in the distance where the circle is supposed to be at, everything goes greyscale. Like textures out of place in a video game (OOC).
- The party went to investigate this strange occurence to find 5 bodies all on the ground with slashes and gouges all devoid of blood.
- Taldric used his divine sense to snuff out these undead vampire spawn but not before one of them springing up like a coil and grabbing Jade by his arm.
- Combat ensued
- Taldric with the help of Dreamys casting a hold person spell on what seemed to be the leader of the former druid circle delivered a mighty divine smite to end the Vampire Spawn's life in an instant.
- After a grueling and close combat the party returned to Syla and shared some parting words before returning to Jeremy Wade's shack to rest for the night
- Uthric was awake and had revealed he tried to kill himself multiple times by looking upon the water.
- Jade sliced his ear off and put a blindfold over his eyes.
- Taldric resigned himself to watch over Uthric while in his sentry state and the rest of the party went in the shack to rest as well.
