Brief History of The Kingdom of Aenebia

  The Kingdom of Aenebia is a land of towering cities and advanced technology. Their society is built upon a technocratic system where rule is held by a group of skilled engineers and scientists, who utilize their expertise to develop and maintain the kingdom's advanced infrastructure, weaponry, and machinery. This system of governance was established centuries ago by a group of visionary scholars who believed that only through the mastery of science and engineering could society progress and flourish.   The kingdom is bordered by the Eliosian Empire to the west, separated by the mountains of the Gorgoroth Range. Despite their advanced technology, the Aenebian people have long been opposed with the more traditional and militaristic society of the Eliosians. Tensions between the two nations have frequently boiled over into conflict, with each side seeking to assert their dominance over the other. However through years of extended discussions, trade for technology in exchange for military might was struck enabling each side to maintain a positive relationship with each other.   Internally, the Kingdom of Aenebia is a rigidly structured society, with individuals sorted into different strata based on their skills and abilities. Those with the most advanced knowledge and expertise are given the greatest power and influence, while those who lack such abilities are relegated to more menial tasks.   Despite their focus on science and progress, the people of Aenebia have a deep respect for tradition and the natural world.
