Elda
Elda is a vast and wondrous world, brimming with diversity and mystery. As the Second Age reaches its zenith, the continents and treacherous seas offer endless opportunities for discovery. In Altara, the great political powers vie for control of the remnants of the once-mighty Altari, while the Tellurian Empire extends its grasp from Mâu to Thârn, rising as the planet’s first colonial force. Yet, it is not only mortal ambitions that shape Elda’s fate. Once left largely untouched by the gods since the ancient Titan Wars, the world now seems to be drawn ever deeper into their divine machinations.
Situated within the Prime Material Plane, Elda bears the scars of ancient events that have left the veil between the Feywild and the Elemental Planes fragile in many regions, allowing their otherworldly influences to seep into the land.

Calendar
Since the Second Age, the Tellurian Calendar has been used almost everywhere in Mâu and Thârn, or at least in the occupied territories. The original calendar was the Lunar Harmonic Calendar, developed by the Tabaxi, and is still used by many inhabitants of Elda to this day, especially when it comes to the alignment of the Omen Days.Geography
Continents
Altara
To the main article: Altara
Altara is a vast and diverse continent, characterized by massive deserts, dense forests, icy mountains, and magically tainted wastelands. At its center lies the unforgiving desert of the Dunes of Scorath, while to the north are the dark swamps of Gloommarsh and the icy cold of the Skaldriven Archipelago. South of the Valan Valley, which serves as a fertile oasis, are the islands of the Shattered Reaches, surrounded by the turbulent sea known as The Rift, which touches the shores of the magical Fluxwilds. Politically, Altara is a fragmented continent. The powerful Caladian Empire rules over the Valan Valley and the Shattered Reaches, while the dark Nyxaris Dominion controls the magical wastelands to the west. The city of Äon, once built by the legendary Altari, rises upon the ruins of its past and is a center of power plagued by corruption. Many small duchies and city-states vie for power and wealth in the south and along the coasts.

Mâu
The western of the three major known continents. The Tellurian Empire was established here during the Second Age, as well as the Kingdom of Triton.
The sea at the heart of the continent is also regarded as the place where Triton first arrived on Elda.

Thârn
Thârn is one of the three known continents of Elda. Thârn has a wide range of climates due to its elongated shape, from the ice-covered regions in the north to the subtropical Sapphire Coast and the living desert in the south. A large portion of the continent remains uninhabited and even unexplored. The so-called Wildlands belong to the dragons and are thus avoided by mortals.
Other Places
The Eternal Ice
The perpetually frozen sea in northern Thârn is more akin to a vast, frozen continent than a body of water. Endless sheets of ice stretch beyond the horizon, their jagged peaks resembling the spires of ancient fortresses. The harsh, unforgiving landscape is both breathtaking and treacherous, with bitter winds howling through the frozen expanse
Despite the brutal cold and the constant threat of shifting ice flows, nomadic dwarf tribes have made this inhospitable region their home. These hardy clans navigate the treacherous terrain with skill, carving tunnels deep into the ice to mine for ancient treasures buried beneath the frozen surface. Rumors speak of rare minerals and relics of lost civilizations hidden within the ice, guarded by the spirits of the long-dead, waiting for those bold enough to uncover them.
The Underdark
Deep beneath the continents of Elda lies the Underdark. The Underdark (also known as the "Black Expanse" in Tellurian) is the origin of the Duergar and Dark Elves. Little is known of this place, but it is certain that it is a world unto itself, with its own peoples, politics, and realms within realms. Two known entrances lie deep under the dwarven kingdom of Adamant in Thârn and beneath the city of Tellur.
Moons
Elda has two very differently sized moons. Although they often appear close together in the sky, their orbits are actually far apart. In the religion of the Eladrin, they come from (and some still lie within) the Ethereal Planes Feywild and Shadowfell. They are also considered the mothers of Mâu and Thârn.Selendriel (left) and Lunareth (right) in the night sky
Lunareth
Lunareth, though smaller than Elda’s second moon, casts a radiant, reddish glow across the night sky, bathing the world below in a warm, ethereal light. Its distinct crimson hue makes it a striking presence, especially during certain phases. Positioned farther from Elda than its counterpart Selendriel, Lunareth completes its graceful orbit in roughly 33 days. Among the Tabaxi, Lunareth is revered as the goddess of thieves, deception, and fortune. Her ever-shifting phases are seen as a symbol of luck and cunning, guiding those who live by their wits and shadows.
Selendriel
Selendriel, the larger of Elda’s moons, looms majestically in the heavens. Its vast, pale-gray surface dominates the night, yet it reflects only a muted, ghostly light. Despite its imposing size, Selendriel’s orbit around Elda is swift, taking just 10 days to complete its celestial journey. Among the Tabaxi, Selendriel is worshiped as the goddess of trade, the homeless, and wealth. Her steady presence in the sky is a beacon for wanderers and merchants alike, offering protection and prosperity to those who seek fortune across distant lands.
