Tuldir

Settled into the roaming fields of the southwestern plains, Tuldir is city as warning. Massive walls loom against the skyline, its towers draped in green-and-gold banners bearing the sigil of the Jadeheart Kingdom. The city serves as the military nerve center of the realm's western defenses, guarding against incursions from the deep southern wilds and monitoring the borderlands for activity beyond the kingdom’s reach.
Though built for war, Tuldir is no less a city of pride and resilience. Life here is disciplined, its people resolute and enduring. The dwarves of Tuldir wear their duty like armor and the scars of their history like medals.

Government

Tuldir is led by a Warden-General, a title currently held by Torga Bronzehelm, a stoic veteran known for her tactical brilliance and unwavering discipline. The Warden-General reports directly to High King Hazemi Jadeheart and sits on the king’s War Council.

Industry & Trade

Tuldir's economy revolves around weaponsmithing and armorcraft, with output shipped to other cities, as well as logistics and supply chains for the army and border trade, including rare ores and monster materials from nearby wilds.
The Stonegird Guild, one of the kingdom’s most respected smithing guilds, operates a major forgeworks here, as do several elite rune-engravers.

Architecture

Tuldir’s design is unmistakably militaristic. The city is built on three levels:
  • The Bastion Wall: An outer perimeter of fortified towers, ballista platforms, and barracks. This layer is staffed day and night by trained garrisons.
  • The Citadel Ring: The heart of the city, with smithies, armories, administrative halls, and the military command keep.
  • The Hearthward Quarter: Where the families of soldiers and long-term inhabitants reside, carved into the cliffside for protection and warmth.
  • Buildings are made of dark gray stone, reinforced with metalwork and runic protections. Towers and walkways connect structures, giving it a labyrinthine, defensible shape.
