Nendirth
Nendirth is a river-threaded city nestled in a deep, green valley where three trade routes converge; Dundorth to the southwest, Boldar to the north, and Gagturm to the east. It is a city of bridges and barges, the heart of the Inlath Riverway, where goods flow like water and ferrymen are nearly as influential as nobles.
Nendirth serves as a keystone for inland commerce. Its people are clever, efficient, and fiercely proud of their position as keepers of the riverways. Nendirth is where merchants settle disputes, where crafters gather from across the southeast, and where information tends to flow faster than coin.

Government
The city is overseen by a Tradewarden, elected every ten years by a council of trade guilds and clan elders. The current Tradewarden is Krenla Deepwake, a former boatmaster turned politician who governs with a merchant’s instinct and a ferryman’s no-nonsense grit.
Beneath the Tradewarden, a rotating Guild Tribunal resolves civil disputes, oversees trade permits, and controls ferry traffic taxation.

Defences
Nendirth maintains a well-drilled river guard, trained in both naval tactics and ambush defense. The city also boasts sluice gates and lock-fortifications, which can block river access in the event of a siege or sabotage.
Industry & Trade
Nendirth’s economy revolves around river commerce, but it's also famed for its stone inlays, river-harvested dyes, and a unique local craft in water-milled paper, exported across Iroth for its durability and clarity.
Boats from Nendirth are small, flat, and swift. Capable of navigating tight canals or winding upstream with the help of captive windstones and enchanted rudders, they are a tradition passed down by old dwarven mariners.
