Onumore

The capital of one of the six human territories. Onumore is the closest to the breach and still feels the damage of the split. While the main capital has been rebuilt, to the east remain the ruins of the original city. Because it is so close to the border, the new capital is built as a fortress amongst the mountains. This is one of the few cities in the Kingdom of Light where less than half of the population are humans. Because it is so close to the border, there are a fair number of half-elves and half-orcs that live there, so long as they show no gift for magic. However, it is primarily occupied by dwarves and gnomes. The capital fortress actually connects down directly into a dwarven hold and various mines.

Demographics

The population is roughly 30% human, 30% dwarven, 20% gnome, and 20% mix of half-elves, half-orcs, and a few halflings.

Defences

Built deep in the mountains, it has the natural protection of the landscape. The city is also surrounded by thick stone walls that are topped by metal armaments. Every tower in the city features a giant crossbow trained at the skies in fear of dragons. A good portion of the population also lives underground as the city connects directly into a dwarven hold.

Industry & Trade

The primary industries of Onumore are mining and weaponsmithing.

Guilds and Factions

The mining guild is the most powerful faction in the city and consists primarily of the dwarves. The weaponsmith guild is also powerful, more evenly split between dwarves, humans, and gnomes. Finally, the other major power in the city is the Church of Light which is primarily made up of humans.

History

Believed to be the oldest continuous city in the Blessed Kingdom of Light. The skeletal remains of the original city remain strewn about the mountainsides below the current city.

Architecture

The architecture is cold and efficient. It is built for defense and not pleasure on the eyes.

Geography

The closest major city to the border on the Blessed Kingdom of Light's side.

Natural Resources

A variety of metals can be mined from the mountains the city is built upon. These include iron, tin, copper, and cobalt. In addition, there is large deposits of coal in the mountains which the people of Onumore use to power their forges.
