Dwarf

Kingdoms rich in ancient grandeur, halls carved into the roots of mountains, the echoing of picks and hammers in deep mines and blazing forges, a commitment to clan and tradition, and a burning hatred of goblins and orcs – these common threads unite all dwarves. They are one of the few species that can be found in both the Blessed Kingdom of Light and Draxium. However, communication between sister clans was cut off when the two countries cut all ties with each other. Dwarves also do not naturally possess magic and actually have a bit of natural immunity to enemy magic.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Dwarves are short and stocky, built to live underground. However, this is the only major difference in appearance between the dwarves and humans.

Growth Rate & Stages

Dwarves mature at the same rate as humans, but they're considered young until they reach the age of 50.

Ecology and Habitats

Dwarves primarily live in caverns deep underground. While some dwarves do live in human cities they prefer the dark of their caves and the protection of having rock overhead.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Dwarves live in clans which are tied together by blood and family. There is always a clan leader, who is usually the eldest of the head family within a clan. The head family is the one that originally founded the clan.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Located in the mountain range that covers the Northern region of Elarus. This allows them to live in both the Blessed Kingdom of Light and Draxium as the mountains cross both lands.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Dwarves have enhanced ability to see in the dark due to their species spending most of their time underground. On the flipside, they do not see as well under bright lights.
