Effect

You cause a rapid change of pressure in liquid to form vapor-filled cavities, causing damaging localized shock waves.   The target is surrounded by a series of quickly forming and dissipating rings that rotate around it. These rings are harmless to the target, but each creature adjacent to the target (in any direction, including diagonally and above or below) must attempt a Reflex saving throw or take 4d10 sonic damage. A successful save halves this damage.   This spell can be cast on a target that isn’t entirely submerged in water, but adjacent creatures that aren’t at least partially submerged are unaffected by the spell.
