Truth of Magic

The cosmos speaks in syllables of power, and some souls are born fluent in its tongue. Magic is not merely energy, nor is it a tool—it is the soul’s projection, the pure assertion of will over matter, over law, over the division between what is and what should be. To believe in magic is to believe in one’s own thoughts so completely that reality itself concedes.   Those who follow the Truth of Magic are conduits of raw potential. They study the metaphysics behind spellcraft, not just to cast—but to know. To such seekers, even psionics and spellcraft are one breath of the same cosmic lung: thought made manifest.

Spell-Shaped Will

1st-Level Truthseeker (Truth of Magic) Feature   Your soul resonates with the arcane lattice underlying the cosmos. You learn two cantrips of your choice from the Wizard class. They count as 1st-Order Truthseeker Powers for you.   In addition, you gain proficiency in Arcana. If you are already proficient, you instead gain expertise in Arcana.

Arcane Strainweaving

6th-Level Truthseeker (Truth of Magic) Feature   You have unraveled the shared pulse of spell and power. When you manifest a Truthseeker power, you may momentarily align its resonance with that of arcane spells to reduce the effort required.   When you manifest a Truthseeker from the Truth of Magic, you can reduce its Manifestation Score by 1, to a minimum of 0, if a creature within 30 feet of you is concentrating on a spell.

Reality Fracture

10th-Level Truthseeker (Truth of Magic) Feature   When you manifest a power that targets a single creature and the target of the power is affected by a spell, you can fracture a piece of that spell's essence. As a bonus action after the target is hit by the psi attack or fails its saving throw against the power, you can force the target to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the spell is fractured, ending.   You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Truthseeker Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Magic Beyond Thought

14th-Level Truthseeker (Truth of Magic) Feature   You can now impose your psionic mastery to rewrite spellcraft itself. When you see a creature cast a spell within 60 feet, you may use your reaction to replace it with a manifestation of your own. You gain Strain equal to 6 minus the power's Order. The spell fizzles, and instead, one of your known Truthseeker Powers is manifested in its place. The target chooses the targets of the power.   Alternatively, if you choose not to replace the spell, you may use your reaction to mirror it instead. You can cast that same spell on the following round without expending a spell slot or making a manifestation test, even if it’s not one you know—your mind momentarily learned its magical structure. The spell retains its original casting time. If you do not cast the spell on your next turn, you lose it.   You can use either version of this feature once per long rest.

Non-Dominant Truth Effect

If this Truth is chosen as a secondary ideal, you learn one cantrip of your choice from the Wizard spell list. It counts as a 1st-Order Truthseeker Power for you.
