You can change an existing piece of rock to another type of rock. For instance, you can make crumblestone into granite, substantially strengthening it. (See Chapter 7 for more information on types of stone).   Precious and semiprecious gems cannot be manufactured with this spell, and its effect does not change the monetary value of the affected stone object.   Arcane Material Component: A grain of talc and a chip of obsidian.

Stone Metamorphosis, Greater

Level: Cleric 6, Druid 6, Sorcerer 8, Wizard 8   Target: Stone or stone objects touched, up to 10 cu. ft. + 10 cu. ft./level   This spell functions like stone metamorphosis, except as noted.

When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, you can affect an additional 10 cubic feet for each slot above its base level.
